Sheriff's reports

SUNDAY

12:05 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said three boys were standing on the corner of Joaquin Gully Road and Meadow Drive asking for money from passing drivers.

2:21 p.m., Don Pedro area — An elderly man with a walking stick who seemed disoriented was wandering around Carmelita Lane looking for a woman.

6:26 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 22000 block of Parrotts Ferry Road said a watch and prescription pills were stolen from her Saturday.

6:38 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 10100 block of Shady Dawn Lane said someone in a white T-shirt but no pants was in a garage and is not supposed to be there.

6:43 p.m., Lime Kiln Road area — A caller said three men, all apparently drunk and carrying shoes, were walking on Lime Kiln Road at Campo Seco Road.

7:38 p.m., Tulloch area — A man said items were stole from his campsite at Cabana Campground on the 14400 block of Tulloch Dam Road.

7:39 p.m., La Grange area — A woman said she received a phone call from a friend driving on La Grange Road where two other drivers were reported playing "chicken" on the two-lane road.

7:46 p.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 12800 block of Mono Way said a man had a brick in his hand and was getting ready to throw it at her. A deputy spoke with both people and determined the man was angry about his dog being let loose.

7:48 p.m., East Sonora — A caller said a man in a white Jeep pushed a woman, two children and a car seat out of the vehicle while at a fast food restaurant on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

9:15 p.m., Sonora Meadows — A woman said four teenage girls were trying to flag down cars on Fern Lane near Creekside Drive with a flashlight.

YESTERDAY

3:10 a.m., Wards Ferry area — A man on the 18100 block of Wards Ferry Road said 12 cows were on Wards Ferry Road near Tinnin Road.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

9:45 p.m., Sonora — Gabriel Roman Jaramillo, 28, unknown address on Highway 49, Sonora, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Stockton Road. No details were available. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

10:52 p.m., Sonora — Shane Taylor Steele, 20, 100 block of Greenley Road, booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop and arrest on Stockton Road.

Steele was also booked on a warrant charging him with unlawful sex with a minor. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

SATURDAY

12:07 a.m., Wards Ferry area — David DeWayne Ashley Jr., 26, 18100 block of Tinnin Road, Sonora area, booked on a warrant charging him with unlawful sex with a minor, parole violation and failure to appear in court after an arrest at his house. He remained held without bail this morning.

2:43 a.m., Standard — Keum Lynn Barnes, 18, 20400 block of Soulsbyville Road, Soulsbyville and Paul Eugene Brownell Jr., 21, 10300 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, both booked on suspicion of petty theft after an arrest at Doherty Tire on Standard Road. Barnes was also booked on suspicion of petty theft with prior convictions for petty theft and Brownell booked on suspicion of criminal conspiracy.

According to a sheriff's department report, a deputy saw a car parked at Doherty Tire and stopped to investigate. Barnes and Brownell told the deputy they had permission to take two tires from a storage shed. The deputy found two tires in the bed of Brownell's pickup truck.

The deputy checked with the owner of the tire store and then arrested the two after learning the owner had not given permission.

They remained held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

8:03 p.m., Sonora — Elam James Grimes, 28, 40 block of Lewis Avenue, San Andreas, booked on suspicion of felony battery causing serious injury after an arrest on Linoberg Street at Green Street.

A man who lives on the 40 block of Linoberg Street who knew Grimes said Grimes punched him three times in the face during a fight. The man suffered a one-inch cut to his cheek.

Grimes was released yesterday after posting $5,000 bail.

SUNDAY

3:15 a.m., Twain Harte — Kenneth Scott Torrey, 39, 23200 block of Coffill Road, Confidence, booked on a warrant charging him with receiving stolen property, probation violation, failure to appear in court, drunken driving and driving with a license previously suspended for a drunken driving conviction after an arrest on East Avenue at Twain Harte Drive.

No details were available. He remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Budd Edward Morrison, 53, 200 block of Baily Road, Baypoint, Contra Costa County, booked at 2 p.m. Friday after arrest on the 100 block of Mono Way, Sonora.

Billy Charles McCoy, 54, undisclosed address on Chukar Circle, Sonora, booked at 10 p.m. Saturday after arrest on Chukar Circle at Covey Circle, Quail Hollow.

Stewart Lewis Segale, 27, 4200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, Vallecito, booked at 11:15 p.m. Sunday after arrest on Highway 49 at Pesce Way, Sonora.

Fire

YESTERDAY

11:40 a.m., Crystal Falls area — A vehicle fire was reported on Crystal Falls Drive at Bear River Drive. Damage was estimated at $500 to fuel lines in a 1974 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. Dorothy Rowemel of an undisclosed address owns the car. California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection and Tuolumne County Fire Department responded.

12:22 a.m., Valley Springs — A large party with alcohol and loud music was reported on Emereff Lane.

1:51 a.m., Wallace — A caller on the 200 block of Creekview Lane reported a prowler.

9:26 a.m., Angels Camp area — Suspicious vehicles were parked at New Melones Reservoir.

9:47 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A caller said there was a dead deer with a rope around its neck by the Calaveras County Sheriff's Department substation.

10:23 a.m., Mountain Ranch — A caller on the 6800 block of Mountain Ranch Road said mail boxes were vandalized.

10:57 a.m., Angels Camp — Deputies helped the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Department locate a missing man who was asked to call his wife.

11:51 a.m., Arnold — A caller at the intersection of C and Second streets asked for a deputy to patrol the area because they saw their neighbor carrying a gun.

1:48 p.m., Hathaway Pines — A landlord and tenant were in a dispute on the 100 block of Horseshoe Drive.

3:12 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the first block of Market Street said his girlfriend punched him in the face.

3:22 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 500 block of Lewis Avenue said someone angry at her left threats on her answering machine.

9:29 p.m., Valley Springs — An anonymous caller on the 4400 block of Hartvickson Lane reported a loud bulldozer in the area.

11:32 p.m., West Point — A caller on the 700 block of Bald Mountain Road said their neighbors were playing loud music again.

11:36 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 200 block of Oak Street said someone had been in her house because there was a cigarette burn on the ceiling.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

5:54 p.m., Valley Springs — Roland Diaz Custodio, 28, 300 block of East Sequoia Avenue, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of making threats and a felony battery charge after arrest at Sequoia Rose Mobile Home Park. Custodio remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail this morning in lieu of $65,000 bail.

11:45 p.m., Avery — William Clement Schaaf, 34, 3400 block of Highway 4, Avery, booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, possessing marijuana and making threats. Schaaf remained in custody this morning at the county jail in lieu of $30,000 bail.

SATURDAY

2:25 a.m., Angels Camp — John Verdell Durling, 44, 2200 block of Carol Street, Modesto, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs, drug paraphernalia and transporting or selling drugs after arrest on Highway 49. Durling remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail this morning in lieu of $80,000 bail.

2:25 p.m., Angels Camp — Renee Antoinette Dailey, 36, of Empire, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs, drug paraphernalia and transporting or selling drugs after arrest on Highway 49. As of this morning, Dailey remained in custody at the county jail in lieu of $80,000 bail.

SUNDAY

12:48 a.m., Hogan Lake — Charles Randolph Aldridge, 18, 11600 block of Boessow Road, Galt, booked on suspicion of possessing or manufacturing a dangerous weapon after arrest at the Oak Knoll campground. Aldridge remained in custody at the Calaveras County Jail this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

4:38 a.m., San Andreas — Kathleen Gloria Tosta, 48, 2300 block of Dunn Road, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs after arrest on Mountain Ranch Road. Tosta was released because of crowded conditions at the Calaveras County Jail. She will be arraigned at a later date.

11 p.m., Valley Springs — Jennifer Martin, 7800 block of Highway 12, Wallace, booked on suspicion of possessing drugs after arrest at a Valley Springs bar. Martin was released because of crowded conditions at the county jail. She will be arraigned at a later date.

Ronald Wayne Colegrove, 45, of North Hills, booked at 8:58 p.m. Saturday after arrest at the intersection of Highway 49 and Mountain Ranch Road in San Andreas.

Gerardo Barajas Dajio, 34, 1600 block of Vallecito Road, Angels Camp, booked at 4:15 a.m. Sunday after arrest at the intersection of Highway 49 and Murphys Grade Road in Angels Camp.

Adan Ulloa Rodriguez, 27, 400 block of Willie Street, San Jose, booked at 9:20 p.m. Sunday after arrest on the 300 block of South Main Street in Angels Camp.

Norven Damian, 21, 2400 block of Church Street, Stockton, booked at 12:15 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 49 in San Andreas.
