TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

9:46 a.m., Crystal Falls — A woman on the 21800 block of Feather River Drive said someone used her Social Security number to purchase a vehicle in Modesto.

9:54 a.m., East Sonora — A woman said someone grabbed her arm when she was asking them for change in a parking lot on the 13700 block of Mono Way. A second person said the woman was walking in a crosswalk and cussed and punched that person’s car mirror while the car was stopped at a light. 

10:53 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 19400 block of Peppermint Falls Road believes her daughter’s boyfriend stole two of her checks and used one of them to bail her daughter out of jail.

11:44 a.m., Columbia — House keys were reported stolen on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

11:44 a.m., Columbia — There have been reports from residents that people were using drugs illegally behind buildings on the 11200 block of Columbia Villa.

11:45 a.m., Jamestown — A 735 and a Q1000 laser manual were stolen from the 11200 block of Algerine Road.

11:54 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman said her son stole $3,000 from his grandmother’s safe on the 22700 block of Twain Harte Drive.

1:25 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on the 22500 block of Confidence Road said she was attacked by her landlord.

2:17 p.m., Columbia — Someone tried to pass a fraudulent check for $48,000 to buy an antique car on the 22300 block of Airport Road. The reporting party didn’t end up losing any money but wanted to report the scam.

3:40 p.m., Groveland — A man on the 19500 block of Beck Road saw several people on and near his property with flashlights. One of them illuminated him, and he later fired two rounds from a handgun into the ground to scare them off. He said he has been missing fuel from his vehicles over the past several weeks, and items on his property have been moved. He was told to call the Sheriff’s Office while they are on his property.

3:49 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man on the 20600 block of Willow Springs Drive said his Harley Davidson ring was lost or stolen about a week earlier, and one that looks just like it is now at a Sonora area jewelry store.

 

THURSDAY

6:42 a.m., Groveland — A vacation home on the 19300 block of Elder Lane was burglarized between March 31 and April 2. The door was broken off the hinges.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

1:49 a.m., fight — A fight occurred on South Stewart Street, but the parties had disbanded and were leaving the area when officers arrived.

12:44 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred in a private parking lot on Old Wards Ferry Road.

4:03 p.m., theft — A bicycle stolen from a business on South Washington Street was located a block away. 

4:23 p.m., public intoxication — A 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Sanguinetti Road.

WEDNESDAY

12:35 p.m., Sonora — Ashlianne Gina Palmertree, 32, of the 200 block of Greenley Road, arrested on Greenley Road on felony charges of abusing or endangering the health of a child and possession of a controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possessing controlled substance paraphernalia.

4:02 p.m., Sonora — Shannon Smith-Castro, 37, address not listed, Sonora, arrested on Sanguinetti Road near Mono Way on a felony charge of transportation or sale of methamphetamine and a misdemeanor charge of possessing controlled substance paraphernalia. 

5:42  p.m., Sonora — James Lee Amador, 37, of the 1800 block of West Rumble Road, Modesto, booked while in custody on a felony charge of possession of a narcotic controlled substance and a misdemeanor charge of possessing controlled substance paraphernalia.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

12:39 p.m., Burson — A telephone scam attempt was reported on Flintstone Way. Callers said they were with Microsoft seeking information.

1:09 p.m., Arnold — A window was broken at a residence on Evergreen Drive.

1:42 p.m., Arnold — A lock was cut at a residence on Pebble Beach Way.

3:42 p.m., Valley Springs — A fight occurred on a riding trail.

4:05 p.m., Copperopolis — A fight occurred on Iroquois Circle.

9:03 p.m., San Andreas — Nurses said a man who drove himself to the emergency department of Mark Twain Medical Center for treatment had been drinking.

WEDNESDAY

1:37 p.m., Angels Camp — Kenneth James Lee Leonard, 46, of the 100 block of Goat Trail, Angels Camp, was booked on charges of burglary, vehicle theft, conspiracy to commit a crime and receiving stolen property worth $400 or more after arrest on the 300 block of South Main Street, Angels Camp.

1:37 p.m., Angels Camp — Sarah Deann Riley, 27, of the 500 block of North Algiers Street in Murphys, booked on felony charges of possessing controlled substances and bringing controlled substances into the jail and a misdemeanor charge of possessing a controlled substance after arrest on the 300 block of South Main Street, Angels Camp.

5 p.m., San Andreas — Jamie Ryan Ritchie, 18, of the 1900 block of Gold Strike Road, San Andreas, was booked on felony charges of robbery, receiving known stolen property worth $400 or more and conspiracy to commit a crime after arrest on the 1900 block of Gold Strike Road. He was also charged with misdemeanor driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

5 p.m., San Andreas — Justin Charles Ritchie, 18, of the 1900 block of Gold Strike Road, San Andreas, was booked on felony charges of robbery, receiving stolen property worth $400 or more and conspiracy to commit a crime after arrest on the 1900 block of Gold Strike Road.
