The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:33 a.m., Columbia — Theft of tools and other items was reported at a home on the 27300 block of Italian Bar Road.

12:11 p.m., Sonora area — Theft from a home on the 14100 block of Tuolumne Road was reported.

1:24 p.m. Jamestown — Credit card fraud was reported on the 18700 block of Shell Road.

1:40 p.m., Sonora — Someone was intentionally ramming a vehicle on the 200 block of Southgate Drive.

1:49 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman allowed someone claiming to be with Microsoft to remotely access her computer. The computer stopped working and a deputy determined it was a scam.

1:56 p.m., Sonora area — A woman received a text from a person in Ohio wanting to hire her for a photo shoot. He sent a $2,370 check and told her to send some of it back to another associate. A deputy determined it was a scam.

3:56 p.m., Twain Harte — A 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia and violation of probation on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive.

7:31 p.m., Sonora area — A 33-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant for possessing, manufacturing or selling a dangerous weapon and failing to appear in court on a felony charge on the 21400 block of Madre Drive.

8:22 p.m., Soulsbyville — A fire was reported on the 20000 block of Soulsbyville Road.

10:04 p.m., Sonora area — Underage drinking was reported at the Tuttletown Boat Ramp at New Melones Reservoir. The offenders were gone when a deputy arrived. 

11:32 p.m., Twain Harte — A driver backed into a pole on the 22900 block of Joaquin Gully Road. The driver was gone when a deputy arrived.


8:05 a.m., Long Barn — A cabin on the 26300 block of Old Mono Road was burglarized.

10:27 a.m., Long Barn — A fire was reported on the 21900 block of Lakeview Drive.

11:25 a.m., Twain Harte — A cabin on the 22400 block of Ridge Road was burglarized.

1:01 p.m., East Sonora — A man got out of his vehicle at a stoplight and punched another driver on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

1:03 p.m., Groveland — A decorative watering can was stolen from behind a residence on the 19900 block of Deerbrush Court.

4:57 p.m., Don Pedro — Alcohol was taken from a home on the 4700 block of Arbolada Drive.

5:03 p.m., East Sonora — A 47-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 13800 block of Mono Way.

7:40 p.m., Sonora area — A 13-year-old boy found a .22 Ruger Blackhawk pistol near Sullivan Creek School on Hidden Valley Road. A deputy found the gun in the American Firearms System.

8:04 p.m., Soulsbyville — A fire was reported on 20300 block of Starr King Drive.

10:07 p.m., Jamestown — Loud mariachi music was reported at Wild Oak and Rolling Oaks drive. The resident agreed to turn it down. 


7:06 a.m., Moccasin — A man said another man grabbed him by the throat while fishing behind the fish hatchery on the 100 block of Shore Drive.

8:12 a.m., Jamestown — A door to a storage shed on the 18300 block of Main Street was kicked in.

1:20 p.m., Columbia — The back window of a vehicle was smashed out on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road.

2:20 p.m., Jamestown — A PlayStation 3 was stolen from a garage on the 17800 block of Black Bart Drive. 

6:06 p.m., East Sonora — A tent was stolen on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

7:02 p.m., Sonora area — A home on the 20100 block of Jamestown Road was burglarized and a cell phone was taken.


2:32 a.m., Columbia — A mobile home on the 22400 block of South Airport Road was broken into and vandalized, but nothing was taken.

Felony bookings


6:22 p.m., Sonora — Joshua Earl Caudill, 28, of the 2200 block of Buena Vista Drive, La Grange, was booked on suspicion of transporting or selling drugs and a misdemeanor charge of obstructing an officer after an arrest at Stewart and Lytton streets.

8:09 p.m., Sonora area — Quito Thor John Schacht, 53, of the 100 block of Ruth Lane, was booked on suspicion of attempted sexual battery, false imprisonment and a misdemeanor charge of battery after an arrest on Jamestown Road.

9:55 p.m., Jamestown — Ryan Blake Mogg, 33, of the 16700 block of Jacksonville Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale and violation of probation after an arrest at Highway 49 and Sims Road.


10:56 a.m., Phoenix Lake — Daniel Azariah Ballowe, 32, of the 16700 block of South Creekside Drive, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 21400 block of Paseo De Los Portales.




Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:



10:25 p.m., Sonora — Steven Daniel Deaver, 39, of the 400 block of South Shepherd Street was booked after an arrest at his home.



1:25 a.m., Jamestown — William Harry Buerkle, 56, of the 400 block of Campo Seco Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 at Highway 49. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of being under the influence of drugs. 

2 a.m., Sonora — Corie Christine Barr, 28, of the 18300 block of Fallen Lane, Twain Harte, was booked after an arrest on Stewart Street north of Church Street.
