TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

3:43 a.m., Tuolumne — Two women in green Toyota Camry were seen going through a five-gallon bucket of jewelry while on the second-floor of the Black Oak Casino parking garage. They were gone when deputies arrived.

12:14 p.m., Jamestown — A man said his wheelchair was stolen after his care provider’s car broke down at O’Byrnes Ferry Road and Highway 108.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

3:33 p.m., animal complaints — A be-on-the-lookout advisory was issued for a lost 4-foot long boa constrictor from an apartment on the 100 block of South Washington Street. The snake was described as sandy brown with a black diamond pattern. Tuolumne County Animal Control was also notified.

5:15 p.m., fight — Officers responded to a report of three men fighting in the middle of the roadway at Lyons Bald Mountain Road and Hope Lane. It was determined there was no fight. The men were admonished for horseplay in the road.

9:42 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone called 911 from a payphone on the 100 block of South Washington Street and said, “People aren’t good for society. Hippies in Sonora aren’t good in society.” Officers responded and spoke with the caller, who said the call was incited because people across the street were being a nuisance. The caller was advised to leave the area.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

THURSDAY

4:01 p.m., Tuolumne — Ronuld Edward Sorensen, 54, of the 18600 block of Laurel Avenue, was arrested on the 17500 block of Tuolumne Road.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

7:05 p.m., Jamestown area — Noah Scott Kolpack, 42, transient, and Kelli Ann Hudson, 33, of the 18600 block of Madrone Street, Tuolumne, were booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on Highway 108 east of Highway 120.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:19 a.m., San Andreas — A 50-year-old woman was arrested on the 1400 block of Gold Hunter Road for two out-of-county misdemeanor warrants.

10:45 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A disturbance was reported at a gas station on Highway 49 involving a customer and clerk, who were arguing over the purchase of a hot dog.

3:11 p.m., Valley Springs — A theft report was taken at a self-storage business on Highway 26.

5:48 p.m., Valley Springs — A theft occurred at a jewelry store on Nove Way.

6:38 p.m., Copperopolis — A residence on Mesquite Drive was burglarized.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

9:52 a.m., Copperopolis — Kenneth Donald Carnes, 33, of the 4800 block of Little John Road, was booked on suspicion of making criminal threats, after an arrest at another residence on the 4800 block of Little John Road.

8:35 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Daniel Lydell Landreth, 59, of the 2000 block of Cemetery Avenue, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 1000 block of Ridge Road.
