The Sonora Police Department reported the following: 


2:15 p.m., drugs — A 66-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs and violation of probation on the 100 block of Stockton Road.

3:29 p.m., disorderly conduct — Two juveniles were fighting at the Dragoon Gulch trailhead. They were gone when police arrived but witnesses said they were not injured. A vehicle leaving the area was cited on suspicion of three traffic violations.

3:42 p.m., disorderly conduct — A 33-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of fighting in a public place at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

9:29 p.m., vandalism — Four people were “tagging” walls at Sonora High School with sidewalk chalk. Two were juveniles and were released to their parents. Two were adults and left on foot.

9:44 p.m., driving under the influence — A vehicle was pulled over on the 800 block of Mono Way. A 47-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication and violation of probation. A 43-year-old man with three or more DUIs was arrested for driving with a suspended license.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


10:05 p.m., Sonora area — Leslie Taylor Hay, 23, of the 23800 block of Ox Bow Lane, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on the 18800 block of Manzanita Court. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of a hit-and-run with property damage and driving with a license suspended for a DUI.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


1:49 p.m., La Grange — Someone broke the lock to a mailbox on the 4800 block of La Grange Road. 

3:13 p.m., Soulsbyville — A shed was broken into on the 19800 block of Soulsbyville Road. A surveillance system, snow blower and lawn mower were taken.

3:26 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A water pipe was vandalized at a residence on the 24300 block of Hiema Court.

3:58 p.m., Sonora area — Two floor fans and a leaf blower were stolen from the 13600 block of Coyote Court.

4:28 p.m., Groveland — A drunk driver was reported on the 18500 block of Main Street.

4:42 p.m., Sonora area — A small dog with a paper bag stuck on its head was running across the street at Coyote Meadow and Buckhorn Mountain roads. 


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:49 a.m., Valley Springs — A Burson Road residence was burglarized.

11:14 a.m., San Andreas — Someone broke a window of a mobile home on Pope Street.

1:21 p.m., Angels Camp — People were possibly hunting from a vehicle on Whittle Road.

3:32 p.m., Vallecito — A vehicle was burglarized at Parrotts Ferry Road and Highway 4.

4:33 p.m., Valley Springs — People were arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Laurel Street.

5:02 p.m., Murphys — Fuel was stolen from a gas station on the 100 block of East Highway 4.

5:44 p.m., Valley Springs — People claiming to be from PG&E were walking through a neighborhood on the 200 block of Highway 12 and asking residents for copies of their bills.

7:49 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on Gregory Road.


1:11 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone was cited for an out-of-county warrant on Highway 12.

5:27 a.m., San Andreas — Someone was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at a business on the 100 block of West St. Charles Street.

5 p.m., Valley Springs — Brandon Francis Condry, 24, of the 7500 block of Baldwin Street, was booked on suspicion of violation of parole and a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication after an arrest on the 200 block of Laurel Street.
