THURSDAY

7:37 a.m., East Sonora — A man said two change machines at Indian Creek Carwash on the 14000 block of Mono Way were broken into overnight.

9:24 a.m., Jamestown — A caller said two men appeared to be sleeping in a gray pickup parked on the 10200 block of Preston Lane.

9:40 a.m., Jamestown — A woman said two people who live in an apartment on the 18200 block of Main Street have defecated out a window and toilet paper is hanging out the window.

11:21 a.m., Longeway Road area — A man on the 17600 block of Scenic Heights Drive said a man driving a truck delivering gravel to a neighboring house damaged asphalt at the caller's house.

1:32 p.m., Moccasin area — A man said he found a black bag with a gun inside it alongside Highway 120.

3:19 p.m., Standard area — A man on the 14200 block of Tuolumne Road said tools, a cell phone and CDs were stolen from his locked truck.

3:21 p.m., Big Hill — A man said he saw a woman driving recklessly on Big Hill Road near Phoenix Lake Road and it appeared she was hitting a child in the car.

4:33 p.m., Tuttletown — A woman on the 20700 block of Jackass Hill Road said a suspicious man was parked near her house. He claimed he was a geologist trying to get a rock sample from a gulch. When she told him she had called the sheriff's department the man left.

5:09 p.m., Crystal Falls — A caller said 15 skateboarders were in the parking lot at Crystal Falls Mini Mart on the 21000 block of Crystal Falls Drive.

11:23 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said someone dropped off a green pickup on the side of Cherokee Road that appeared to be suspicious.

11:43 p.m., Groveland — A man said his neighbor on the 19000 block of Pleasant View Drive had stabbed himself while moving things around his house.

FRIDAY

12:30 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18200 block of Smoke Street said a man in a rust-colored Jeep was throwing rocks and yelling obscenities at her son.

1:22 a.m., Soulsbyville — A caller on the 16600 block of Allison Way said a man was beating on a car.

6:57 a.m., Jamestown — The owner of Sierra Rock on the 16600 block of Highway 108 said the office was broken into overnight.

7:59 a.m., Columbia — A suspicious man talking to himself and making strange hand gestures on the 2260 block of Parrotts Ferry Road left on a county transit bus.

9:02 a.m., Sonora — A be-on-the-lookout order was issued for an older model car with several items of luggage on top traveling from Crescent City to Sonora. Church members in Crescent City said they assisted the occupants, a man and pregnant woman with three children under 2 years old, with food and gas. The church members said the children appeared bruised and malnourished and were wearing clothes soaked with urine.

9:41 a.m., Pine Mountain Lake — A man on the 19600 block of Pleasantview Drive said a light standard in his driveway was vandalized.

10:19 a.m., Groveland — A woman on the 18700 block of Vernal Drive said the 16-year-old son of her ex-boyfriend asked if he could do his laundry at her house. When she refused, he swore at her and threatened to damage her car.

11:23 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 17900 block of Seco Street said occupants of an apartment complex on Preston Lane brought in a vehicle on a trailer and left it in the parking lot a week ago. She said the car has no license plates and is slowly being stripped.

12:39 p.m., Tuolumne — A man in an apartment complex on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road said a man was sitting in a car below his deck playing loud music. When the resident asked the man in the car to turn the music down, the man got out and dared him to fight.

1:17 p.m., Sonora area — A woman driving over the bridge on Lime Kiln Road saw a dog in the road and stopped to ask the occupants of a nearby vehicle if it was theirs. In the car, she said, was a girl 6-9 years old without a shirt on, and a person covered in a blanket on the driver's side.

2:30 p.m., Groveland — A home on the 22600 block of Prospect Heights was reportedly broken into.

3:01 p.m., Cold Springs — The owner of a home on the 29500 block of Lassen Drive said a window was broken and two men were living there after the tenants were evicted two weeks ago.

3:17 p.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 13700 block of Mono Way said her checkbook was stolen from her car a month ago and now someone has written a check on her account.

3:45 p.m., Confidence — A 17-year-old runaway boy was seen fleeing a house on the 22500 block of Confidence Road.

5:13 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 21100 block of Rising Sun Mine Road said money was stolen from his house.

6:15 p.m., Columbia — A drunken, combative man was detained at the Columbia College fire station on Columbia College Drive.

6:34 p.m., Groveland — A woman said a man and woman were living in a rental house on the 19700 block of Cottonwood Street without permission.

6:53 p.m., Twain Harte — A home on the 21200 block of Rising Sun Mine Road was burglarized. Collector knives and money were reported stolen.

7:09 p.m., Tuolumne — Suspicious juveniles were reported in Tuolumne Park.

8:59 p.m., Jamestown — A group of juveniles reportedly shoplifted six bottles of juice from the Sierra Trading Post on the 18100 block of Highway 108.

9:09 p.m., Strawberry — A man on Old Strawberry Road said he heard 12 gunshots in the area and has heard them the past three nights.

9:34 p.m., Jamestown — Seven people reported hearing four or five gunshots on Maple Alley and two more on Seventh Avenue.

9:42 p.m., Groveland — A woman on the 12000 block of Breckenridge Road reported signs knocked down in the area.

10:08 p.m., Columbia — A woman on the 11000 block of Green Street said a man was trying to get into her house.

SATURDAY

3:24 a.m., Sonora area — A woman with a backpack was sitting in the parking lot of a care home on the 18200 block of Cabezut Road and said she was having a problem.

7:43 a.m., Don Pedro — A woman on the 2000 block of Zarzamora Street said her home was burglarized. Seven or eight guns and family pictures were stolen.

8:44 a.m., Columbia — A man on the 11000 block of Green Street said he found a pair of pants and one shoe in the bushes in his yard.

1:33 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 18200 block of Ninth Avenue said a man and woman were yelling at each other and three children were crying in the yard.

1:37 p.m., Crystal Falls — A woman on the 21500 block of American River Drive said her young son found an envelope in front of her house containing business checks worth $1,400.

2:08 p.m., Crystal Falls — A 29-year-old man on Crystal Falls Drive was arrested on a Tuolumne County warrant.

2:14 p.m., Sonora — A 41-year-old woman on the 300 block of Snell Street was arrested on a Tuolumne County warrant.

2:30 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 19400 block of Mi-Wuk Street said her 16-year-old grandson was out of control.

2:42 p.m., Tuolumne — A man said his truck was broken into while it was parked on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road.

3:03 p.m., East Sonora — A service station employee on the 13700 block of Mono Way said someone in a rental truck was having trouble dispensing gas and started banging the nozzle against the pump.

3:40 p.m., Groveland — A man on the 12000 block of Hillhurst Court said someone vandalized his car overnight.

3:43 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 16400 block of Highway 108 said someone broke into her storage shop and stole more than $5,000 in property.

3:51 p.m., Crystal Falls — A woman on the 16700 block of Creekside Drive said seven children and two adults were trespassing by the creek on her property. She said they refused to leave and said she doesn't own the creek. She said she does own the property where they were standing.

4:16 p.m., Columbia — A man on the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road said a jack was stolen from his porch the day before.

5:45 p.m., Jamestown area — Two people on La Grange Road said they helped push-start an older red pickup and saw what appeared to be a body under a tarp in the bed of the truck.

5:47 p.m., Jamestown — A 32-year-old man riding a bicycle on the wrong side of Highway 108 was arrested on a Tuolumne County warrant.

6:12 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A woman on Lama Tamalin Road said two people were on the roof of a vacation cabin with a shotgun. One of them, a 39-year-old man, was arrested on two Tuolumne County warrants.

7:36 p.m., Don Pedro — A woman on the 2300 block of Zarzamora Court said she was having problems with kids driving back and forth in front of her house and screaming obscenities.

YESTERDAY

6:12 a.m., Tuolumne — A man was found unconscious in a ditch on Ponderosa Way.

8:58 a.m., Tuolumne — The Tuolumne Frosty on the 18700 block of Carter Street was burglarized.

10:40 a.m., Tuolumne — The Loggers Club on the 18300 block of Bay Avenue was burglarized.

FRIDAY

4:24 p.m., Sonora — Christina Renee Martinez, 32, 2700 block of Venado Drive, Arnold, booked on a warrant charging her with forgery, violating parole and failure to appear after being brought to the jail from Vacaville State Prison. She remained held this morning without bail.

4:24 p.m., Sonora — Dalen Harmon Hensley, 26, 1400 block of R Street, Merced, booked on a warrant charging him with vehicle theft, violating parole and failure to appear. Hensley was booked after being brought to the county from Merced County jail, and remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

4:25 p.m., Sonora — Cathy Moulton Newkirk, 54, 11800 block of Benefield Avenue, Norwalk, booked on a warrant charging her with petty theft with prior convictions, violating parole and failure to appear. She was transferred to the county jail from Vacaville State Prison and remained held this morning without bail.

SATURDAY

2:26 p.m., Sonora — Gloria Esther Garcia, 41, 300 block of Snell Street, Sonora, booked on a warrant charging her with passing worthless checks after an arrest at her home. She was released after posting $10,000 bail.

SUNDAY

3:41 a.m., Sonora — Jonathan Lee Johnson, 18, 19900 block of Rough and Ready Trail, booked on suspicion of unlawful sexual intercourse after an arrest on Snell Street, by Sonora Police. He remained held this morning in lieu of $40,000 bail.

Henry Perez Roberts, 33, 10300 block of Preston Lane, Jamestown, booked at 5:25 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Preston Lane west of Seco Street, Jamestown.

Megan Suzann Jacka, 27, 23400 block of Highway 108, Confidence, booked at 8:25 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 108 east of Twain Harte Drive, Twain Harte.

THURSDAY

12:56 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on a running, unoccupied pickup at the Sonora Community Hospital construction site on the 1000 block of Greenley Road.

1:24 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer checked on a light that was on inside a building on Highway 49.

2:17 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said a child was left unattended in a vehicle in the parking lot of a business on Sanguinetti Road. It turned out the child's mother was napping and had the seat tilted back.

4:14 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury crash was reported on the 100 block of Hospital Road.

5:15 p.m., property damage — A woman said a road sign was knocked down on Elkin Street at North Stewart Street.

8:27 p.m., fight — An argument was reported on the 200 block of McCormick Drive.

9:33 p.m., warrant arrest — A 23-year-old man was arrested on a Tuolumne County misdemeanor warrant charging him with traffic violations.

FRIDAY

8:34 a.m., hazardous situation — Police officers provided traffic control for about 20 minutes when a train engine became disabled on South Washington Street at Hospital Road.

1:29 p.m., vandalism — A woman reported a broken window on her car parked on William Street.

1:37 p.m., public safety — A woman on Southgate Drive reported that septic trucks were driving 35-45 mph in a 15 mph zone.

3:08 p.m., arrest — A 46-year-old woman suspected of smoking marijuana in the restroom at Yosemite Title Co. on the 200 block of South Washington Street was arrested on a Tuolumne County warrant.

6:29 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man and woman reportedly were yelling at two girls about 12-14 years old who were walking on North Washington Street.

7:40 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man thought five or six juveniles were drinking alcohol behind a business in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center.

8:37 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man said two men tried to kick his car as he drove by on North Washington Street.

9:49 p.m., public intoxication — A 40-year-old man reportedly causing a disturbance in front of a business in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

11:33 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An officer spoke with a group of people outside the Social Security office on the 1100 block of North Highway 49.

SATURDAY

3:45 a.m., hazardous situation — A woman on the 300 block of Pasadena Avenue said a tree fell into the street and might have landed on a truck.

10:09 a.m., traffic accident — A non-injury collision was reported on the 700 block of South Washington Street.

10:17 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Skateboarders were being verbally abusive in the Sonora Plaza on the 700 block of Mono Way.

1:47 p.m., traffic hazard — A man said people were standing in the street in front of Courthouse Square to collect money for a benefit fund.

2:23 p.m., traffic violation — A woman on the 700 block of Mono Way said a man driving a convertible with a young child in the car was speeding and spinning donuts four times during the day.

4:34 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A bar owner on the 100 block of South Washington Street said he took identification away from an underage person.

5:29 p.m., assault — A woman on the 1400 block of Shaws Flat Road said she was assaulted by a 41-year-old man.

5:47 p.m., assault — An assault victim refusing to give information was reported at Tuolumne General Hospital.

6:38 p.m., public intoxication — A woman passed out at the wheel of a car in a self-service filling station on Hospital Road was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication.

7:20 p.m., assault — A man on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road reportedly was assaulted by three men.

9:07 p.m., harassment — A woman on the 200 block of Greenley Road said men in her apartment complex had been shouting at her.

11:14 p.m., trespassing — A man refused to leave a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

11:52 p.m., fight — A fight was reported in front of a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

YESTERDAY

12:28 p.m., trespassing — Two men refused to leave a bar on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

1:57 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A group of people in front of the police station on the 100 block of Green Street were reportedly ready to fight.

3:47 p.m., San Andreas — A man said something was thrown at his car while he was driving on Highway 49.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

1:15 a.m., Valley Springs — Wanda Lynn Casem, 34, 7800 block of Highway 12, Wallace, booked on suspicion of possessing narcotics after an arrest on Highway 12 and Evans Road, Wallace.

Deputies stopped a car driven by Casem and during a search, said they found narcotics. She was released after posting $20,000 bail.

9:06 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Marty Wayne Cassel, 43, 2300 block of Wagner Road, Mokelumne Hill, booked on suspicion of battery and making criminal threats after an arrest on Highway 26. No details were available this morning. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $35,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

1:10 p.m., Valley Springs — Matthew Eric Fisher, 18, 8000 block of Nall Street, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and making criminal threats after arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $55,000 bail.

7:23 p.m., Angels Camp — Michael Jack Porovich, 34, 300 block of South Main Street, Angels Camp, booked on suspicion of making criminal threats and battery after an arrest at his home. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.
