TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

10:26 a.m., traffic violations — A man was riding a dirt bike on Preston Place with a child on the back and neither of them were wearing helmets. They were gone when an officer arrived.

10:35 a.m., drugs — A Sonora High School student involved in a fight was cited on suspicion of possession of marijuana.

12:24 p.m., traffic violations — Reckless driving was reported at South Washington Street and Restano Way. Police admonished the driver, who claimed the caller was driving recklessly.

6:07 p.m., warrant arrest — A 22-year-old man was arrested on the 400 block of Greenley Road on an Amador County warrant for vandalism and violating a protective order.

9:19 p.m., animal complaint — A Sonora Elementary School employee saw a bobcat or mountain lion stalking a deer when he was leaving the school. Police did not locate any tracks but contacted the Department of Fish and Wildlife. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

7:18 a.m., Crystal Falls — A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of drugs after using someone’s hose to wash blood off his body on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive.

8:56 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman was walking her dog by Twain Harte Lake when a pickup truck passed by and the driver pointed a pink and yellow handgun at her. She started to take down the license plate number and the man leaned out the window and said “just kidding.”

12:47 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone tried to charge $2,500 to a woman’s credit card.

12:56 p.m., East Sonora — An 18-year-old woman was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

1:17 p.m., Soulsbyville area — Someone broke a window to a home on the 19100 block of Black Oak Road.

2:52 p.m., Sonora area — Jewelry was taken from a home on the 19800 block of Via Redonda Road.

3:08 p.m., Sonora Meadows — Two windows at Sullivan Creek School on Hidden Valley Road were shot out with BB guns.

7:06 p.m., East Sonora — A woman was cited on suspicion of shoplifting at a business on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

11:54 p.m., Sonora area — A man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication on the 19300 block of Rockridge Way. 

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

9:01 a.m., Sonora — Frank Ronald Cole, 60, of the 3200 block of Ponderosa Road, was booked on suspicion of forging or altering vehicle registration after an arrest at Washington Street and Toby Lane. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of driving under the influence of drugs and being under the influence of drugs. 

3:20 p.m., Sonora area — Joshua Steven Ashlock, 29, of the 8400 block of Old Melones Dam Road, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of possession of marijuana for sale after an arrest on the 11700 block of Campo Seco Road. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of violation of probation and possession of brass knuckles. 

4:25 p.m., Sonora area — Brandon Joseph Burd, 27, of the 11700 block of Campo Seco Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs after an arrest at his home. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and keeping a place to sell drugs.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:58 a.m., Angels Camp — Items were taken from a boat that was parked in a storage facility on the 2200 block of Highway 49.

9:08 a.m., Valley Springs — Mail was stolen on Baldwin Street.

2:23 p.m., Valley Springs — A worker at a store on the 200 block of East Highway 12 said someone has been intercepting business calls.

5:56 p.m., Copperopolis — Two batteries were stolen from a golf cart on Little John Road. One of the batteries was dropped and it broke.

10:03 p.m., San Andreas — Kids tried to open at least four doors on Toyanza Drive.

WEDNESDAY

1:53 p.m., Angels Camp — Wayne Eric Townsend, 50, of the 100 block of West St. Charles Street, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of bringing drugs into a jail after an arrest on the 100 block of North Main Street.

8:15 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Ronald Jack Nessler, 61, of the 2100 block of Prussian Hill Road, Rail Road Flat, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of drugs without a prescription after an arrest on the 2700 block of Liberty Hill Road.

Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

WEDNESDAY

3:10 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Jeremiah Theodore Mileham, 30, of the 7600 block of Nikki Trail, was booked after an arrest on the 8000 block of Washington Street. He was also booked on a misdemeanor charge of driving with a suspended license.
