TUOLUMNE COUNTY 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

1:33 p.m., assault — A student was injured in a fight at Cassina High School.

3:02 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A possible theft was reported at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road. The business requested documentation only.

3:33 p.m., traffic accident — A hit-and-run was reported in a parking lot downtown.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

9:09 a.m., Chinese Camp — Boots, a screw gun, CD player, coat and sleeping bag were stolen from a residence on the 9900 block of Main Street.

9:36 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone on the 18600 block of Madrone Street reported identity theft.

10:59 a.m., Sonora area — A man tried to sell a stolen watch to area jewelry stores.

1 p.m., Mono Village — A fight was reported at Gold Rush Charter School.

1:18 p.m., Phoenix Lake — A vacation home on the 20100 block of Phoenix Lake Road was burglarized. Sterling silver and clothing were taken.

4:16 p.m., Big Oak Flat — A man in a red cowboy hat appeared to be carrying a gun on his hip at a business on the 17500 block of Highway 120. He told a deputy it was only a BB gun.

4:25 p.m., Tuolumne — Two parents were arguing or fighting in the Summerville Elementary School gym.

4:40 p.m., Twain Harte — Someone brandished a firearm on the 22500 block of Cedar Pines Avenue.

5:27 p.m., Sonora area — A field was on fire at Kelso Court and Johnny Avenue.

5:28 p.m., Soulsbyville — A boy tried to steal an extension cord and scrap metal from Soulsbyville Elementary School. Someone confronted the boy and retrieved the cord.

7:30 p.m., Sonora area — A possible grass fire was reported on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle.

8:55 p.m., Columbia — A 36-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant after an assault was reported on the 11400 block of Columbia Village Drive.

THURSDAY

4:30 p.m., Sonora area — James Lawrence Nelson, 24, of the 18800 block of Manzanita Road, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of forgery and burglary after an arrest on the 100 block of Yaney Avenue.

5:55 p.m., West County — Joseph Anthony Rigazio Jr., 43, of the 700 block of Canary Circle, Fernley, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs and a misdemeanor charge of possession of marijuana after an arrest on Highway 120 at O’Byrnes Ferry Road. 

10:39 p.m., Sonora area — John David Sifuentes, 43, of the 20800 block of Mechanical Drive, was booked on suspicion of check fraud after an arrest on Dane Lane. He was also booked on misdemeanor charges of possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia.

THURSDAY

6:15 a.m., Jamestown — Kristopher James Randi, 22, of 18700 block of Highway 108, was booked after an arrest at Donovan and Main streets. 

9:15 p.m., Twain Harte — Quinton Shay Clemens, 21, of the 3200 block of Mission Way, Rocklin, was booked after an arrest on Highway 108 west of Twain Harte Drive.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

11:29 a.m., West Point — Unauthorized use of a bank card was reported on West Point Pioneer Road.

1:44 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone tried to pry open a screen on Miwuk Way.

5:43 p.m., Burson — A residence on Hillvale Drive was burglarized and power equipment was taken.

THURSDAY

7:25 a.m., Mountain Ranch — John Allen Logg, 40, of the 6600 block of Michel Road, San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender, indecent exposure and second degree burglary after an arrest on the 8000 block of Washington Street.

8:15 a.m., San Andreas — Brett Michael Whitney, 24, of an unknown address in San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of attempted robbery, second degree burglary and a misdemeanor charge of public intoxication after an arrest on the 200 block of Church Street. 

6:50 p.m., San Andreas — Stacy Fonta Quashnick, 23, of the 1500 block of French Gulch Road, Murphys, was booked on suspicion of first degree burglary after an arrest at the Calaveras County Probation Department.
