Sheriff's reports


3:29 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 10000 block of Bell Mooney Road said his trailer was burglarized and that he was on a dirt bike looking for teens he suspected were involved. About a half hour later, the man called and said he found the teens and was talking to them and their parents.

3:46 p.m., Tuttletown — A caller said a 20-year-old man used the butt-end of a rifle and broke out windows on the caller's vehicle while it was parked at a bar on Highway 49.

5:15 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on the 22000 block of Bret Harte Drive said a man came to his house and asked if he wanted any yard work done. When the caller said no, the man left in a truck with three other people. The caller thought the people might be "casing" the neighborhood.

6:26 p.m., Tuolumne — A caller said a man was sitting in a car parked on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road smoking drugs.

7:02 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller on East Avenue said a man stumbled into the caller's yard and fell down, apparently because he was drunk. The man left and started walking toward downtown Twain Harte.

9:57 p.m., Jamestown — The owner of Wickliff Picture Framing on the 18000 block of Rawhide Road said computers were stolen from his business.

Felony bookings


11:07 p.m., Sonora — Michael Jay Bellinger, 21, 200 block of West Bonanza Road, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on Stockton Road and Washington Street, Sonora. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol:

Douglas Dow Miller, 63, 500 block of East Oakside, Sonora, booked at 7:10 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 108 west of Tuolumne Road.

Elijah Shannon Dolman, 28, 400 block of South Stewart Street, Sonora, booked at 8:19 p.m. yesterday after arrest on Washington and Gold streets, Sonora.

3:23 p.m., vandalism — A woman on the 400 block of North Arbona Circle said someone threw eggs at her house.

6:42 p.m., found property — A woman said she found a Visa card at a filling station on South Washington Street.

7:05 p.m., theft — A man said someone stole two motorcycle helmets from the parking lot of a business and ran toward a business on the 800 block of Sanguinetti Road.

9:42 p.m., theft — A 14-year-old Sonora girl was cited and released to her father on suspicion of shoplifting. According to police, the girl tried to steal a 12-ounce soda, chips and candy from Save Mart on the 100 block of Stockton Road. Police said she didn't go through the checkout line and hid the merchandise in her sweatshirt. A store employee detained the girl until an officer arrived. The merchandise, valued at $3.74 was returned to the store.

9:45 p.m., found property — A man said he found a Visa card in an automatic teller machine at a bank on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

10:30 p.m., assault — A man said he was assaulted by another man and a pitbull at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.

1:20 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller said trespassers on dirtbikes were on his property on the 500 block of Paloma Road.

3:23 p.m., Copperopolis — A caller said picnickers were on private property on Highway 4 at Telegraph Road.

Felony bookings


11:30 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Daniel Lee Miner, 35, 200 block of Railroad Flat Road, Rail Road Flat, booked on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm after an arrest on Banner Road, Rail Road Flat. No details were available this morning. He remained in custody this morning in lieu of $15,000 bail.


7:30 a.m., Avery — Douglas Michael McNally, 49, 200 block of Bluebird Lane, Avery, booked on a warrant charging him with making criminal threats after an arrest at his home. He remained held this morning in lieu of $22,000 bail.
