TUOLUMNE COUNTY

Sheriff's reports

MONDAY

6:25 a.m., Tuttletown — A man from AFA Construction said a laser level, computer printer, work boots and hard hat, together valued at $4,285, were stolen from a building on Reynolds Ferry Road.

7:21 a.m., Don Pedro area — A caller said a man driving a blue Dodge pickup truck came into a subdivision on Old Don Pedro Road through a locked gate on Sunday. The man said he was looking for a painter, but the caller thought the man might be casing the area.

12:46 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man said he thought a house on Rafferty Court was being burglarized because a man dressed in dark jeans went through the kitchen window. A deputy determined it was the homeowner's grandson.

12:47 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a woman in a wheelchair was left by the side of Highway 108 near Fifth Avenue. A deputy checked, but the woman was gone.

2 p.m., Jamestown — A man found a bag of clothing on the side of French Flat Road and took it home. The bag was returned to the owner on Seco Street.

2:20 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said her purse was stolen while she was at work in a restaurant in The Junction shopping center.

3:01 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 9000 block of Highway 49 said she received a magazine in the mail with a suspicious grainy substance stuck to a page and wanted it picked up.

3:01 p.m., Quail Hollow area — A woman on the 20100 block of High Meadow Drive said handguns were missing.

3:25 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 19000 block of Rough and Ready Trail said sand had been poured into her car's gasoline tank.

5:03 p.m., Cedar Ridge — A man on the 23000 block of Pack Trail Road said his daughter's mountain bike was taken off the front porch. The girl later found the bike with a suspicious note on it.

7:01 p.m., Tuolumne — A Me-Wuk tribal security officer said two men near a car on the side of Tuolumne Road were possibly intoxicated.

8:06 p.m., East Sonora — A Taco Bell manager said several teenagers were causing a disturbance in the parking lot on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

9:33 p.m., East Sonora — A Longs Drug store manager said five or six carloads of people were causing a disturbance in the parking lot at The Junction shopping center.

10:39 p.m., Groveland — A 49-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman were arrested on misdemeanor warrants after a traffic stop on Highway 120 near Ferretti Road.

11:56 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a man was in front of a store on the 18200 block of Highway 108 asking people for money. A deputy asked the man to leave.

Felony bookings

MONDAY

8:33 a.m., Lambert Lake area — A 35-year-old man was booked on suspicion of felony battery after an arrest at his home. According to a sheriff's report, a woman at the house called to say the man had hit her in the eye and knocked out her tooth. A deputy arrested the man and booked him into the county jail. The man was released Monday after posting $35,000 bail.

3:51 p.m., Sonora — Josiah David Anderson, 19, 17000 block of Lucky Strike Trail, Sonora, booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of less than an ounce of marijuana after an arrest in Coffill Park.

According to a Sonora police report, a caller said two men were smoking marijuana in the park. An officer talked to Anderson and during a search allegedly found cocaine and marijuana. Anderson remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

5:32 p.m., Sonora Meadows — Daniel Wilbur Wetmore, 32, 16100 block of Hidden Valley Road, Sonora Meadows, booked on a Riverside County warrant charging him with child endangerment and felony battery, a Mariposa County warrant charging him with misdemeanor drunken driving and driving on a license suspended for a previous drunken driving conviction. He also was booked on suspicion of misdemeanor battery.

Arrested at his home, Wetmore remained held this morning in lieu of $55,000 bail.

Matthew David Yacovetti, 19, 23000 block of Knickerbocker Flat Road, Columbia, booked at 3:25 a.m. Monday after arrest on North Washington Street at Columbia Way, Sonora.

Scott Eric Parsons, 44, 20300 block of West Walnut Street, Sonora, booked at 3:40 p.m. yesterday after an arrest at his home.

Sonora police reports

MONDAY

9:51 a.m., warrant arrests — A 21-year-old man was arrested on misdemeanor warrants on Columbia Way.

10:10 a.m., disorderly conduct — A caller said a female patient was out of control in Tuolumne General Hospital.

10:11 a.m., trespassing — A caller said about six people were in a metal teepee on Hospital Road near Mono Way.

12:16 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said two men in a white Honda were at the county library on Greenley Road fighting. An officer checked but did not find the car or the men.

YESTERDAY

12:03 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a traffic accident on Restano Way at South Washington Street.

12:58 a.m., warrant arrest — A 26-year-old man was arrested on a misdemeanor warrant after a traffic stop on the 1100 block of Mono Way.

MONDAY

10:56 a.m., Arnold — Tools were stolen from a work truck on the 2500 block of Highway 4.

11:30 a.m., Arnold — Speakers were stolen from a car parked on the 2600 block of Shirewood Lane.

2 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A code compliance violation was reported on the 7500 block of Oak Lane.

4:31 p.m., Murphys — A building cart was reported missing from the 4800 block of Darby Russell Road.

5:10 p.m., Valley Springs — A possible case of identity theft was reported on the 3200 block of Brooks Lane.

5:36 p.m., Jenny Lind — A man at the Jenny Lind Firehouse requested a deputy go to his house with him because he had to pass his neighbor who was mowing the lawn and has a restraining order against him.

6:54 p.m., Valley Springs — A golfer put a large mark in the lawn of a caller on the 600 block of Old Course Court.

Felony bookings

MONDAY

10 p.m., Valley Springs — Eric Charles Knopp, 27, 1800 block of Berkesey Drive, Valley Springs, booked on a felony battery charge and suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol with a suspended license. Due to crowded conditions at the Calaveras County Jail, Knopp was released from custody yesterday and will be arraigned at a later date.
