TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:53 a.m., Columbia — A Parrotts Ferry Road caller said they tried to cash some money orders for $2,999 and discovered they were counterfeit.

10:53 a.m., Tuolumne — A vehicle was vandalized on the 18600 block of First Avenue.

11:38 p.m., Jamestown — Someone on the 18100 block of Fifth Avenue reported seeing two people fighting inside of a small black SUV. A woman was thrown out before the vehicle sped off. The SUV then came back, picked the female up and left the area.

4:52 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 17000 block of Mono Vista Road North said someone was using her 10-month-old son’s Social Security number.

FRIDAY

4:27 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on 10100 block of Shady Dawn Lane said someone just broke into her house and then fled on foot.

THURSDAY

12:50 a.m., Sonora — Brandon Lee Smith, 27, transient, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Ponderosa Lane and Stockton Road.

1:15 p.m., Columbia — Linda Susan Mason, 58, of the 22400 block of Upper Quail Mine Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of a dangerous weapon and drug transportation or sales, after an arrest at Sawmill Flat Road and Souza Lane.

8:11 p.m., Soulsbyville — Robert Nicholas Walker, 30, of an unknown Mi-Wuk Village address, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 17100 block of South Mono Vista Road.

9:18 p.m., Jamestown — Michael James Harstad, 33, of the 17200 block of Table Mountain Road, was booked on suspicion of child endangerment, after an arrest at his home.

THURSDAY

7:18 p.m., Jamestown — Elizabeth Christine Huff, 41, of the 19900 block of Mountain Misery Road, Twain Harte, was arrested on Highway 49 north of Wigwam Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

8:16 a.m., traffic accidents — There was a non-injury motorcycle accident at Morning Star Drive and Sundown Lane. The motorcyclist declined a report and pushed his motorcycle to his nearby home.

2:01 p.m., school assists — A 3.5-inch locking blade knife was confiscated from a student at Sonora Elementary School. A report was taken and an officer transported the juvenile to his residence.

7:09 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said they saw three men loading a park bench into a truck near the skate park on Greenley Road. Officers checked and confirmed the bench was actually a “wax table” for skateboarding that the men had purchased on the Internet.

9:17 p.m., lost or found property — Someone said they found a Comcast DVR in the middle of the roadway at Snell Street and Racetrack Road.

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:58 a.m., Douglas Flat — A vending machine was stolen from a business on the 1100 block of East Highway 4.

2:29 p.m., Murphys — A report was taken for a family dispute on Meadowview Road.

3:28 p.m., Arnold — Equipment was stolen from Linebaugh Road.

4:10 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Power tools were stolen from the basement of a Center Street home.

5:19 p.m., Paloma — Two people were arrested for parole violations on the 3700 block of Paloma Road.

5:48 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A residence was broken into on Highway 49.

THURSDAY

8:27 p.m., Valley Springs — Erich Conrad Hotvedt, 22, of the 400 block of Covey Road, was booked on suspicion of commercial burglary, after an arrest on the 100 block of South Highway 26.
