WEDNESDAY

7 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on the 19500 block of Roslyn Lane said her fence had been vandalized.

8:09 a.m., Belleview Oaks — A woman on the 21000 block of Belleview Road said her purse was stolen from her house.

8:42 a.m., Pinecrest — A Forest Service employee said windows and doors were open at three cabins on Pinecrest Lake Drive.

8:45 a.m., Twain Harte — A man said two dogs running loose on Golf Club Drive may have bitten someone.

9:32 a.m., Soulsbyville — A man on the 19800 block of Soulsbyville Road said a chain saw was stolen from his truck.

10:28 a.m., Don Pedro area — A man said items and keys hidden under a wheel well of his truck were stolen when it was parked at Blue Oaks Boat Ramp on Bonds Flat Road.

11:01 a.m., Sierra Village — A woman on the 24900 block of Highway 108 said her house was burglarized.

11:22 a.m., Rancho Poquitos — A caller said people have been camping in an older Dodge camper parked in front of the 19800 block of Via Redonda for three weeks. The caller said the camper is creating a hazard because it is partially blocking the road.

12:48 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said a young child was alone and asleep inside a car left running while parked in The Junction shopping center.

1:51 p.m., Columbia — A man said he heard loud explosions near his house on Yankee Hill Road near Melon Patch Road. When he investigated, he found remains of two bombs and foot prints leading into the grass.

3:32 p.m., Quail Hollow — A Quail Hollow apartment manager said two trash bins on Grouse Way were filled with trash from a downtown Sonora business.

3:36 p.m., Big Hill — A woman said a truckload of trash was dumped below a mobile home park on the 16000 block of Big Hill Road.

3:54 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said she saw three teenagers taking apart a new red pickup truck parked on Preston Lane.

5:03 p.m., Quail Hollow — A man said two teenage girls pushed his 8-year-old daughter to the ground on the 12000 block of Chukar Circle.

6:25 p.m., East Sonora — A caller said six teenagers were in vacant lot near the 13400 block of Mono Way beating on a blue Toyota car parked there.

6:33 p.m., Groveland — A woman on the 9700 block of Smith Station Road said another woman came to the house around noon and let the caller's llamas out of their pen.

7:29 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 13000 block of Preston Lane said a tricycle was stolen from her back patio sometime after 7:30 a.m.

7:50 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said a man was sitting on a bench in front of a business on the 18100 block of Main Street yelling, screaming and doing something to his arm.

8:41 p.m., Groveland — A Cocina Michoacana restaurant employee said a man stole two six-packs of beer from the Main Street restaurant and left in a Mustang with five men inside.

9:02 p.m., East Sonora — A man said one of his employees noticed a man running away from a seal coating truck parked on the 13800 block of Mono Way, then heard a loud boom and noticed the tires flat on the truck. The employee chased the man over to The Junction shopping center but lost him.

YESTERDAY

3:17 a.m., Tuolumne — A 44-year-old man was arrested on a warrant after being stopped on Carter Street at Buchanan Road.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

1:15 a.m., Jamestown area — Gregory Lee Gray, 31, and Erin Elizabeth Polsky, 21, both of the 3900 block of Wilhoit Road, Stockton, and Mitchell Wade Schuller, 32, 500 block of Humber Court, Modesto, all booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance, transportation and sales of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop and arrest on the 18700 block of Highway 108.

According to a sheriff's report, Deputy Vic Serrano stopped a car driven by Gray for a traffic violation. When a dispatcher said Schuller, a passenger, was wanted on misdemeanor warrants and Gray was driving with a suspended license, Serrano put the two men in handcuffs and began to search the car.

Deputy Mitch Brouillette helped in the search. The two deputies found a black zippered case in the back seat that none of the three people claimed was theirs. Inside the deputies found 8.1 grams of methamphetamine, a scale, two small plastic bags and a glass smoking pipe. Because Gray, Polsky and Schuller gave conflicting statements about who the bag belonged to, all three were arrested.

Gray and Polsky were released Wednesday after posting $20,000 bail each. Schuller remained in custody this morning in lieu of $20,000 bail.

YESTERDAY

2:05 a.m., Sonora — Justin David Patterson, 22, no address, Sierra Village, booked on suspicion of possessing stolen property after an arrest on Stewart Street at Gold Street.

According to a sheriff's report, Patterson was suspected of stealing a chain saw and a pickup truck from a Twain Harte man. Cpl. Danny Crow saw the pickup truck parked behind a restaurant on the 1000 block of Mono Way. When Patterson left in the truck, Crow followed him into downtown Sonora and stopped him.

Patterson said he bought the chain saw from a man and denied stealing it and the truck. Patterson remained held in lieu of $10,000 bail.

4:22 a.m., Jamestown — Claudia Ruth Grimes, 51, no address, Tuolumne, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of a hypodermic needle arrest on Ninth Street at Sierra Avenue. No details were given. She remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

Harold Joseph Vierra, 51, 800 block of Summer Lane, Tracy, booked at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Highway 108 at west of Montezuma Junction.

Nancy Lee Hardesty, 56, 100 block of Lyon Street, Sonora, booked at 9:45 p.m. Wednesday after arrest on Highway 108 at Chabroullian Lane, Jamestown area.

Jason William White, 27, 1200 block of Good Shepherd Drive, Twain Harte, booked at 12:38 a.m. yesterday after arrest at the Tuolumne County Jail.

Bobby John Cepeda, 20, 20100 block of Jamestown Road, Sonora, booked at 12:50 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Jamestown Road at Lavender Lane, Sonora.

Kenneth Daniel Smith, 22, 10100 block of Peppermint Drive, Jamestown, booked at 1:40 a.m. yesterday after arrest on Highway 108 at Wigwam Road, Jamestown area.

Sonora police reports

WEDNESDAY

7:48 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman knocked on the front door of South Washington Street business, asking for help with problems she was having. When the woman was no one at the business could help her, she walked off and said she would just go kill someone. An officer could not find the woman.

9:24 a.m., traffic accident — No one was injured in a traffic accident on the 700 block of South Washington Street.

11:05 a.m., arrest — A 22-year-old man was stopped for a traffic violation on South Washington Street at Gold Street and then arrested on misdemeanor warrants.

1:36 p.m., theft — A man and a woman ran out of Pak 'n' Save in the Sonora Crossroads shopping center with items they did not pay for, and got into a car. An employee gave the license plate number to an officer.

3:42 p.m., traffic accident — A car parked at Sonora Plaza shopping center was struck by another vehicle and the driver did not leave a note.

5:13 p.m., domestic violence — A caller said a man was yanking on and hitting a woman in front of a parking structure on North Washington Street.

7:03 p.m., animal complaints — A caller said a black and white dog last seen the backyard of a house on the 800 block of Oakside Drive was missing.

YESTERDAY

2:40 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on the 200 block of Greenley Road said a chair on her back deck was moved and her dog was barking.
