The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


7 a.m., Tuolumne — A man on the 20500 block of Ponderosa Way said someone had attempted to use his deceased wife’s Social Security number.  

8:20 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 12800 block of Chukar Circle said his truck was burglarized and another vehicle was stolen.

9:56 a.m., Jamestown — There was a burglary to a locked vehicle while it was parked at some apartments on the 17900 block of Seco Street. Entry was determined to have been made through a broken driver’s side window.

9:57 a.m., Groveland — A man said a burglary had occurred to his vacation home on the 20200 block of Skyridge Drive Lower. Entry was made through the loft window and a small laptop computer, two antique rifles and an antique double-barrel shotgun were stolen.

10:51 a.m., East Sonora — Four load cells for a truck scale were stolen from a metal shop on the 13800 block of Mono Way.

12:41 p.m., Twain Harte — A vacation cabin on the 18600 block of Wildwood Drive that had not been inhabited since September 2011 was burglarized. Drawers were opened and rifled through and the liquor cabinet above the refrigerator was empty.

4:32 p.m., Sonora area — A woman the 16800 block of Crestview Drive said someone used her son’s Social Security number for employment.

Felony bookings


1:45 a.m., Sonora — Bridget Ann Brennan, 34, of the 600 block of Shaws Flat Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Greenley Road and Sylva Lane.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


3:45 a.m., Sonora area — Tyler James Stephenson, 18, of the 20500 block of Gopher Drive, was arrested on the 200 block of Saratoga Road.

3:45 a.m., Sonora area — Darrel Lloyd Beardsley, 26, of the 100 block of Rose Street, was arrested at Eureka and Walnut drives.


2:02 a.m., Sonora — James Michael Tracy, 49, of the 21100 block of Jamestown Road, Tuolumne, was arrested at Shaws Flat Road and North Washington Street.

7:10 p.m., Sonora — Cullen Warren Maxim, 26, of the 200 block of East Lyons Street, was arrested at South Stewart and Williams streets.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


7:55 p.m., controlled substances — A man panhandling outside a Stockton Road grocery store was arrested on suspicion of being under the influence of a controlled substance.


4:50 p.m., theft — A business on South Washington Street reported $400 stolen win the past hour.

10:11 p.m., weapons violations — Several people on Summit Avenue called to report hearing shots fired in the area. One caller advised it was possibly fireworks. Officers spoke with witnesses in the area who confirmed they saw fireworks.


12:53 a.m., public intoxication — A 33-year-old man and 31-year-old woman were arrested on Linoberg Street.

12:17 p.m., public peace — Officers responded to a residence on the 100 block of Preston Place for a woman who was allegedly causing a disturbance and throwing food around. A 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of disturbing the peace.

9:16 a.m., theft — A woman at apartments on Greenley Road said there appeared to be damage done to her vehicle overnight for a possible theft. Another woman at the apartments reported about an hour later that the rear window of her vehicle was broken overnight.



The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:51 a.m., Mountain Ranch — Cleaning supplies were stolen from Quail run.

4:02 p.m., White Pines — An arrest was made on suspicion of public intoxication at White Pines Ball Park.

9:12 p.m., San Andreas — A loud television resulted in an unfounded report of a fight on Cemetery Avenue.


12:08 a.m., West Point — A burglary occurred on Matson Lane.
