The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


9:09 a.m., public intoxication — Two youths were reported under the influence at Sonora High School. One was taken to Sonora Regional Medical Center and one was taken home. 

10:03 a.m., fight — Two men and a woman were reported in a fight outside a business on Greenley Road. The two men were father and son and no one wanted to press charges, police said.

12:19 p.m., lost property — Medications were reported lost or stolen from a medical business on Greenley Road. 

4:38 p.m., theft — A man was arrested and booked for petty theft at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

5:31 p.m., theft — A woman reportedly stole clothing on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

6:03 p.m., civil problem — A man said his ex-wife keeps calling and hanging up when he answers on Snell Street. He asked a police officer to call her and ask her to stop.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9 a.m., Sonora — Two men and a woman said an unknown man started to yell at them for no reason near the 13700 block of Mono Way. They said they tried to speak nicely to him, but he continued to yell at them before walking away.

10:10 a.m., Long Barn — A 12-year-old red-headed boy was reported trespassing on multiple properties, including checking doors, on Esther Avenue. 

11:51 a.m., Sonora area — A woman said the shingles on the entire back side of her residence were taken off on Whitto Mine Road.

12:36 p.m., Jamestown — A television was reported stolen out of a shed in the past few days on Sierra Avenue. 

2:40 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said someone called her saying there was a problem with her credit card and requested she enter the card’s numbers, which she refused to do.

3:10 p.m., Columbia — An iPhone was reported stolen from a picnic table on Jackson Street.

6:56 p.m., Crystal Falls — A caller said a tree fell on his propane tank and it began leaking at Creekside and Crystal Falls drives. Cal Fire responded and the propane company turned off the propane.

8:59 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said she was beaten up by a female family member and her arm may have been broken on Circle Drive. 


7:18 a.m., Groveland — Someone put glue in front door locks at a business on the 18700 block of Main Street. 


Felony bookings


7:08 a.m., Tuolumne — Richard Allen Garris, 51, of the 15300 block of Blue Bell West, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of concealing a dirk or dagger and a warrant for burglary after an arrest on Tuolumne Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:22 a.m., Valley Springs — Trespassing was reported on Pine Street. 

1:42 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported theft of power on Clements Place. 

4:45 p.m., West Point — A man was arrested for assault on Rabbit Foot Road. 

10:09 p.m., San Andreas — Vandalism was reported at Calaveras High School.

7:12 a.m., San Andreas — Michael Barden Wilmshurst, 29, of the 300 block of Pope Street, was booked on suspicion of evading police with wanton disregard for safety and misdemeanor obstruction of justice and reckless driving on a highway after an arrest on Carol Kennedy Road.

4:09 p.m., Valley Springs — Maria Ann Arellano, 32, of the 100 block of Sequoia Avenue, was booked on suspicion of burglary, using a false name to get drugs, using fraud to get drugs, impersonating another to get property, drug possession and misdemeanor cruelty to a child after an arrest on North Main Street.
