The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8 a.m., traffic accidents — A man was hit by a car on South Barretta Street. He suffered moderate injuries and was taken to a hospital. 

8:53 a.m., school assists — Someone on Greenley Road said a man took a bag of snacks from a student at a bus stop. 

2:15 p.m., fraudulent activities — An employee at a South Washington Street business accepted two counterfeit bills. 

2:52 p.m., lost and found — A manager of a South Washington Street business turned over property left there within the past week. 

5:03 p.m., public intoxication — A man on Theall and Shepherd streets was dropping money all over the sidewalk. 

5:18 p.m., animal complaints — Someone at a sandwich shop on South Washington Street said a dog was in distress in a locked vehicle. 

6:05 p.m., theft — A woman said medication was stolen from her purse in a school gym on Greenley Road. 

8:02 p.m., unclassified — A man on Valley Oak Drive asked what he should do if a dog attacked him. 

11:26 p.m., public intoxication — A man was arrested after he was found lying on a sidewalk on Wyckoff Street. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:19 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on Jamestown Road said her medications were missing and she was unsure if her medications were stolen or misplaced.

8:24 a.m., La Grange — A woman on Pepito Drive said she was tired of being harassed about her stepson’s issues.

9:24 a.m., Jamestown — A home on Seventh Street was burglarized. 

10:21 a.m., Tuolumne — Someone on Carter Street said they had ongoing issues with a neighbor’s dog defecating on their property.

10:22 a.m., Sonora area — A man with a red bandana over his face and blue jeans tucked into his brown boots took a bag of snacks from a child at a bus stop on Greenley Road.

10:43 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on Greenoaks Court found a gun in her closet she believed was a “real” firearm and she wanted it removed. Deputies said the gun was a BB gun and she was advised it was legal for her to possess it. 

10:53 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on Crow Court was concerned because she was on a “do not call” list and received possible phone scam calls. 

1:15 p.m., Copperopolis — A vessel was stopped for speeding in a 5 mph zone in the water on Lake Tulloch.

3:16 p.m., Sonora area — A man was “acting strange” at a bar on Highway 49. 

8:41 p.m.,  Sonora area — A woman on Via Redonda said her medication was stolen and her husband was “unemployed and may be hustling.” 


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


11:03 a.m., San Andreas — Someone on East St. Charles Street reported a $10 counterfeit bill. 

5:28 p.m.,  Jenny Lind — A woman on Milton Road said a junk boat was left in her driveway. 

7:59 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone on Shoreline Court said someone took their neighbor’s boat and left the dock. 

8:32 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone at Bullion Hill Drive clubhouse said a suspicious man was at the swimming pool.


7:35 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone on Silver Rapids Road said a caller told them they had won $100 from Wal-Mart and then attempted to get their bank information. 

9:18 p.m., Douglas Flat — Someone on Live Oak Court said there was a “sickly sweet heavy smell” in their house. 

Felony bookings


12:45 p.m., Valley Springs — Steven Yale Rohlff, 40, of the 11800 block of Buena Vista Drive, Los Altos, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon after an arrest at the 900 block of Saint Andrew Road.


Cited on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


10:21 a.m., San Andreas — Grant Louis McKinney, 18, of the 100 block of Gold Nugget Road Valley Springs, was booked after an arrest on Gold Strike Way. 

3:20 p.m.,  Lake Camanche — Jason Arthur Altheide, 33, of an unknown address, was booked after an arrest at Arrowhead Campground.
