The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:43 a.m., fraudulent activities — A possible scam was reported through an online service provider.

11:29 a.m., vandalism — A student broke out a window at Cassina High School.

4:57 p.m., found property — Someone turned in a California drivers license he reportedly found in his mailbox on Shaws Flat Road.

5:37 p.m., threats — A woman said another woman pulled up beside her in a car while in a Sanguinetti Road parking lot, gestured to her like she had a gun and said “Boom you’re dead.”

11:27 p.m., fraudulent activities — A couple was reportedly using a stolen credit card at a Sanguinetti Road business.


10:29 a.m., traffic violation — Police pulled over and admonished a driver after an illegal U-turn on Highway 108 near the Stockton Road exit.

12:47 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred on Mono Way.

2:12 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury accident occurred on South Washington Street.

10:05 p.m., pedestrian check — Police investigated a suspicious person in Rotary Park and told the person the park was closed. 


1:27 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man on East Church Street said that a woman went to the store and did not return. He called back and said that she was home. 

11:08 a.m., assault — A man assaulted another man in a hospital lobby. An arrest was made.

5:13 p.m., lost and found — A woman on South Barretta Street said that her cellphone was taken from her bed. An officer located the phone at the same location it was reported missing. 

6:18 p.m., animal complaints — A woman on Mono Way said that she saw a transient walking with her missing dog. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


7:48 a.m., Jamestown — A man was seen selling construction equipment outside of a Highway 108 business.

8:36 a.m., Columbia — A teenage Columbia Elementary School student was reported to be possibly under the influence of marijuana, though the student said he only smoked a cigarette.

9:25 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Gas was reported stolen from a Lama Road driveway.

9:41 a.m., Sonora area — A man told law enforcement that he returned to his foreclosed home on Wasatch Mountain Drive after being in jail to find all of his possessions gone.

11:14 a.m., Big Oak Flat — A woman received fraudulent emails about the foreclosure of her home.

12:12 p.m., Sonora area — A table and five chairs were reportedly stolen from a Crystal Falls Drive business.

2:21 p.m., Sonora area — A school bus from Jamestown was reportedly pulled over to the side of the road. The driver requested help with a violent student.

3:57 p.m., Jamestown — A group harassed people while intoxicated in Rocca Park.

5:22 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on Elizabeth Lane said she was assaulted.

6:13 p.m., Jamestown — A man forced his way into an Eighth Street residence to fight with another man.

7:47 p.m., La Grange — A woman reported being forced to the ground in a fight at an Alameda Drive residence.

11:50 p.m., Jamestown — A woman was throwing rocks and screaming at people on Old Melones Dam Road.


9:02 a.m., Mi-Wuk Village — A man said he believes someone is squatting in his Lama Road Teumete residence.

12 p.m., Groveland — Vandalism was reported in the Groveland Library parking lot, with light covers broken and signs pushed down.

12:21 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said truckloads of construction garbage were left on her Westview Way property.

1:36 p.m., Columbia — A woman said her grandson was shot in the back by a BB or airsoft gun.

4:05 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said someone fraudulently foreclosed on her father’s house on Wigwam Road.

4:28 p.m., Sonora area — A big-rig was blocking the road on Highway 49 after a non-injury accident.

4:51 p.m., Twain Harte — Five men in their 20s were throwing beer cans all over Fuller Road.

9:14 p.m., Soulsbyville — A fire was reported near Mountain Side Drive.

10:27 p.m., Groveland — A group of minors was drinking and skateboarding off of cars at an Elder Lane apartment complex parking lot.


4:52 a.m., Columbia — A woman on State Street spotted two people she said were preparing to steal a barbecue, one of whom she said urinated outside.

1:17 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Golden Oaks Drive, said that she believed a man with binoculars was spying on her neighborhood. He told officers that he was looking for fish in the pond.

4:38 p.m., Sonora — Christopher Lee Mora, 43, of the 100 block of Linoberg Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, parole violation and multiple out-of-county warrants after an arrest on Sonora Avenue.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


2:12 a.m., Jamestown — James Daniel French, 48, of Golden Dove Lane, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49.

5:47 p.m., Chinese Camp — Ryan Kristin McKnight, 41, of Red Hills Road, was booked after an arrest on Sims Road.

8:21 p.m., Jamestown — Ayres Daniel Tome, 56, of the 18500 block of Cedar Street, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49.


4:13 p.m., Twain Harte — Ronald Dean Adams, 27, of the 22700 block of Black Hawk Drive, was booked after an arrest on Manzanita Drive.

8:04 p.m., Twain Harte — James Robert Stillens, 49, of 3100 block of Cowan Circle, Sacramento, was booked after an arrest at Tiffeni Drive and Michelle Lane.


8 p.m., Jamestown — Ibon Margaret Perez, 47, of the 300 block of El Paso Avenue, Modesto, was booked after an arrest at O’Byrnes Ferry and Highway 120. 

9:52 p.m., Sonora area — Michael John Gardner, 35, of the 14000 block of Lolly Lane, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way and Cavaliere Road.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


11:28 a.m., Murphys — A resident near Six Mile Road had completely blocked off an easement.

1 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A break-in and theft were reported on Whiskey Slide Road.

1:12 p.m., San Andreas — A patient at Mark Twain Medical Center emergency room was being verbally abusive and combative.

3:14 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone reportedly shoplifted at a Highway 26 store.

8:16 p.m., Avery — A break-in was reported at a Highway 4 residence.


9:03 a.m., San Andreas — Gold panners were trespassing on a Highway 12 property.

12:44 p.m., San Andreas — A woman said two men came to the door and offered to clean the carpet.

11 a.m., Milton — A woman on South Gulch Road dialed 911 trying to get the phone number for a carpet company.

2:45 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Multiple people were riding around town on dirt bikes without helmets or protective gear near Lafayette Street.

4:39 p.m., San Andreas — A man was riding a bicycle all over the road on Briski Hill and Highway 12.


11:12 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone on Westhill Road said that they heard the sound of shots being fired.


7:31 a.m., Campo Seco — Someone said that there was a truck on their property and that they heard someone doing turkey calls.
