The Sonora Police Department reported the following:



11:39 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was sitting in a parking lot and drinking from a brown paper bag on the 300 block of South Stewart Street. He was admonished by police. 

12:52 p.m., theft — A man said a woman was shoplifting at a Sanguinetti Road business. He wanted to detain her, but thought that she would be uncooperative. An arrest was made. 


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:



10:22 a.m., La Grange — A woman said that an elderly man was “out of control” at a home on Frio Court.  He said that he was mad because the woman would not go out and get a job. 

12:00 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said that patio furniture and yard decorations were taken from her home on Main Street. 

4:37 p.m., Sonora area — A woman at a home on Paseo De Los Robles said that she tried to make a purchase at an online shopping store and her account had been frozen. 

8:57 p.m., Sonora area — A man said that a woman who had been abusive to him in the past was chasing him down Jacobs Road. 


Felony bookings



1:51 p.m., Sonora — Christopher Thomas Service, 28, of an unknown block of Ayba Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Stockton and Bradford streets.

8:22 p.m., Sonora — Leonardo Michel Torres, 20, of the 1000 block of Mark Twain Road,  was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on the 13000 block of Mono Way. 


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:



6:21 p.m., Sonora — Dinah Leigh Taylor, 41, of the 200 block of Theall Street, was booked after an arrest at her home. Police said she backed her car into two posts and drove her car into another truck prior to her arrest.





The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:



9:09 a.m., Angels Camp — Suspicious circumstances were reported at Bret Harte High School. 

11:30 Mountain Ranch — A woman threatened her neighbors with a knife because their dogs would not stop barking at a home on Baker Riley Way.

4:50 p.m., Arnold — Someone threw a rock at a window and broke into a home on Nola Drive.

10:05 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Steve Edward Cantine, 65, of the 5000 block of Mountain Ranch Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor driving under the influence after an arrest at his home. 

1:30 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Sherry Theda Crum, 59, of the 18000 block of Baker Riley Way, was booked on suspicion of making threats after an arrest at her home.
