The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


8:01 a.m., lost and found — Christmas items were found at East Bradford Avenue and Shepherd Street. 

8:53 a.m., school assist — A suspended student from a school on South Barretta Street was transported to his home. 

10:47 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man at a Sanguinetti Road business was asking people for gas. 

1:52 p.m., fight — Someone said about 30 people were in a fight on North Stewart Street. 

9:27 p.m., public nuisance — Someone at a Sanguinetti Road business said there was a group of transients loitering in the area. 


11:06 a.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone on South Washington Street said they saw a boy who appeared to be in pain walking down the street. 

11:12 a.m., animal complaints — An officer on North Stewart Street responded to a complaint and moved a rabbit cage out of the direct sun and onto a front porch. 

1:32 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A transient was sleeping at a business on Sanguinetti Road. 

3:46 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone at a business on Sanguinetti Road said they saw three children unattended in a parked car. 

8:43 p.m., suspicious circumstances — An anonymous caller on Columbia Way said they heard someone yelling to call 911. 

11:45 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone at North Poplar Street and Yaney Avenue said a man wearing a long white T-shirt, blue jeans and baseball hat was running up and down the road and put something in their garbage can.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:47 a.m., Groveland — Someone on Powderhouse Street said their 37-year-old son stole their dog pool. 

10:56 a.m., Jamestown — Someone on Fourth Avenue reported a phone scam. 

1:02 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on Ponderosa Drive said a woman said “you have no business being on my side of the road” and came at him with a rake. 

10:03 p.m., Jamestown — A man on Rawhide Road and Highway 108 was crawling on the side of the road. He was arrested. 


1:19 a.m., Sonora area — A man on Blue Bell West asked deputies how he could get his girlfriend evicted from his bedroom. 

Felony bookings


3:53 a.m., Jamestown — Mark Anthony Struby Jr., 25, of the 20100 block of Jamestown Road, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at his home. 

4:45 p.m., Soulsbyville — Nancy Antonia Alvitre, 54, transient, was booked on suspicion of crimes against an elder or dependent after an arrest on the 20700 block of Caylor Drive.




The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:



8:05 a.m., San Andreas — Someone said people on East St. Charles Street were causing a disturbance.

3:45 p.m, San Andreas — Someone threw two cans out a window on Highway 12 and Highway 49.

5:02 p.m., San Andreas — Someone on West St. Charles Street said an ex had hacked into their computer.

8:07 p.m., Burson — A man on Treeside Lane yelled and carried a club as he rode a bicycle up and down the street.



1:19 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone on Laurel Street said neighbors “messed” with an electrical box. 

8:36 p.m., Vallecito — Neighbors on Juniper Drive were fighting. 


Felony bookings



6 p.m., San Andreas — Jason Andrew Baker, 24, of the 11400 block of Arapaho Way, Burson, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on the first block of West St. Charles Street. 


7:40 p.m., Valley Springs — Carlton Thomas Solomon, 57, of the 10400 block of Gregory Drive, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at his home.
