The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:18 a.m., Jamestown — A man said his wallet was stolen at Kanaka Drive and Jacksonville Road.

10:38 a.m., Twain Harte — A residence was burglarized on the 19800 block of August Court.

10:57 a.m., Sonora area — A man on the 8800 block of Wilcox Ranch Road said a cell phone bill was sent to his deceased father. He was advised to check credit bureaus to see if his father’s information was being used.

11:41 a.m., Twain Harte — Two men stole four bottles of liquor from a business on the 18700 block of Tiffeni Drive and drove off in a gray Ford F150 pickup.

1:17 p.m., Tuolumne — A generator was stolen from a work site at Forest Road 1N01 and 1N02.

4:16 p.m., Sonora area — A woman called to report that someone broke into her barn on the 10500 block of Mount Brow Road.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


2:48 p.m., civil problem — A man said his vehicle was damaged at apartments on Greenley Road. An officer determined the damage was caused by 8-year-olds throwing pine cones at each other.

Fire calls


12:40 a.m., Sonora — Downed power lines sparked a 10-acre wildfire at Fraguero Road and Highway 49. Fire crews and water tenders from Cal Fire, Columbia College, Sonora, Columbia, Jamestown and Mono Vista responded to the blaze. PG&E was on scene to repair the power lines. The fire was contained at 3:22 a.m., but two engines were still extinguishing hot spots Wednesday afternoon.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


3:35 p.m., Rail Road Flat — Someone on Theresa Trail called to report an identity theft.

10:27 p.m., Valley Springs — Arrests were made for public intoxication after a fight on Friedman Way.


9:21 a.m., Mokelumne Hill — A vehicle was vandalized on China Gulch Road.

11:30 a.m., Valley Springs — A citation was issued for shoplifting at a grocery store on Highway 26.

12:23 p.m., West Point — A residence was burglarized on Sawyer Road.

5:36 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone called to report a theft on Shoreline Drive.

Felony bookings


1 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Travis Logan Emerson, 20, of the 200 block of Montgomery Drive, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and child abuse, after an arrest on the 9000 block of Center Street.


2:12 a.m., Angels Camp — Tressie Elisha Johnston, 37, of the 1000 block of Bret Harte Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at her home.
