TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:44 a.m., domestic violence — A fight was reported on Hospital Road between a man and woman, with the man said to be threatening to burn something down and harm himself.

1:47 p.m., theft — A theft occurred at a Sanguinetti Road store.

2:12 p.m., traffic violations — A driver was reported for swerving in and out of lanes. The car was being driven by someone from out of town who was unfamiliar with the area.

3:22 p.m., controlled substances — Three women were possibly smoking drugs on Monte Vista Lane.

9:05 p.m., animal complaints — Someone found a bat that was still alive in front of the cinemas on Sanguinetti Road. The bat was caught and released in a different location.

9:56 p.m., public peace — A fight was reported near Hospital Road. Two aggressive dogs were also reported in the area at the same time.

SATURDAY

1:43 a.m., fight — A man said he was hit in the face and someone took his wallet during a fight on South Washington Street.

12:31 p.m., traffic accident — A collision from the night before was reported on South Green Street.

7:03 p.m., traffic accident — Drivers exchanged information after a crash on South Washington Street at Highway 108.

9:22 p.m., found property — Someone found a Chinese driver’s license in the back of a taxi cab.

SUNDAY

10:32 a.m., reckless driving — A truck on South Washington Street made a “quick” right turn and almost hit a woman. 

4:20 p.m., disorderly conduct — A man at a South Washington Street business asked customers for change. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

7:16 a.m., Columbia — Someone on Knickerbocker Flat Road dumped trash into another person’s recycling bin. 

10:39 a.m., Soulsbyville — A small lost terrier would not leave a residence on Tanner Drive. 

12:30 a.m., Columbia — A man on State Street was angry and broke items his “ex” gave him. 

2:19 p.m., Sonora area — A man on Estralita Drive “slapped” a 15-year old girl in the chest. Her father did not wish to press charges. 

3:12 p.m., Jamestown — People on Highway 108 set up a tent behind a business. 

5:48 p.m., Twain Harte — A dispatcher heard laughing when a 2-year-old on Cedar Pines Avenue accidentally called 911.

6:12 p.m., Sonora — A man on Kewin Mill Road made statements about Al-Qaeda bombs when dispatch told him there was a fire in the area.

SATURDAY

2:19 a.m., Sonora area — A man on West Brookside Drive said he “heard” a man took his wallet and was gambling at the casino. 

7:38 a.m., Jamestown — Someone on Oneil Court threw an umbrella into a pool. 

3:24 p.m., Groveland — A woman on James Circle arrived home and found her front lawn on fire. 

4:31 p.m., Jamestown — A man on Highway 108 said he was attacked and his dog killed by a neighbor’s dogs. 

7:25 p.m., Sonora area — A Creekside Drive man said his 18-year old son acted strange. An arrest was made.

8:38 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on Huron Drive said she saw a brown bear walking along the road. 

SUNDAY

1:43 p.m., Melones — Bones tied to car parts surfaced under a bridge on New Melones Court/Highway 49.

4:55 p.m., Groveland — A teenager on Mueller Drive said his mother was “freaking out.” 

10:19 p.m., East Sonora — Someone behind a business on Mono Way fed cats.

FRIDAY

1:18 p.m., Sonora area — Jason Daniel Peluso, 32, of the 14800 block of Curtis Circle, was booked on suspicion of burglary and misdemeanor possession of burglary tools after an arrest on the 13700 block of Mono Way. 

SATURDAY

6:40 p.m., Jamestown — Samuel Sequoia Batson, 22, transient, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor being under the influence of drugs after an arrest at 3rd Avenue and Seco Street.

SUNDAY

12:06 p.m., Jamestown — Joshua Nathaniel Teeple, 21, transient, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanors possession of stolen property and drug paraphernalia after an arrest at 5th Avenue and Reservoir Road.

4:35 p.m., Jamestown — Christopher Brandon Martin, 28, of the first block of Willow Glen Avenue, Oakdale, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Golf Links Road. 

9:16 p.m. Jamestown — Fernando Diago Sanchez, 28, of the 2300 block of San Domingo Way, Modesto, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Main Street. 

9:32 p.m., Jamestown — Alex Edward Padilla, 28, of the 2400 block of Manor Oak Drive, Modesto, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Main Street. 

SUNDAY

10:09 p.m., Sonora — Lewis Michael Fone, 33, of the 400 block of Florence Drive, Lafayette, was booked after an arrest on the 200 block of Stockton Road. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

6:42 a.m., Murphys — A car was left at a gas pump on Highway 4. 

8:59 a.m., Arnold — A man on Highway 4 and Arnold Byway was slumped over. No medical attention was needed.

11:21 a.m.,  Avery — Two men on Moran Road were fighting or “horseplaying.” 

11:53 a.m., Copperopolis — A celebration on Singletree Drive got out of hand. 

11:53 a.m., San Andreas — A man on East Saint Charles Street was sleeping “flat on his back.” 

5:13 p.m., San Andreas — Neighbors on Neilson Street argued. 

8:03 p.m., Angels Camp — A fender bender on Frogtown Road led to a fight. 

SATURDAY

3:38 p.m., Copperopolis — Items were stolen and a fence cut open on Walker Trail Road.

6:12 p.m., Murphys — Kids on Pennsylvania Gulch Road riding ATV’s upset a neighbor. 

SUNDAY

2:29 p.m., Angels Camp — Someone at a reggae festival on Highway 49 pocket-dialed 911.

2:02 p.m., Angels Camp — Justin Robert Barbettini, 33, of the 800 block of Foothill Court, Los Banos, was booked on suspicion of drug possession after an arrest on Highway 4 north of Main Street. 

9:14 p.m., Angels Camp — Ward Anthony Stone, 29, of the 3400 block of Murphys Grade Road, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence and causing great bodily injury after an arrest on the 100 block of Frogtown Road.

4:10 p.m., Vallecito — James Wayne Gilley, 48, of the 1700 block of Ironwood Court, was booked on suspicion of drug possession for sale after an arrest on the first block of Main Street. 

SUNDAY

12:27 a.m., West Point — Loretta Lynn Brown, 37, of the 12900 block of New York Ranch Road, Jackson, was booked on suspicion of child cruelty and misdemeanor assault after an arrest on the 200 block of Bucksaw Lane.

2:02 p.m., Angels Camp — Devon Shea Pagaduan, 36, of the 200 block of Park Avenue, Santa Cruz, was booked after an arrest on Highway 49 at Vallecito Road. 

10:55 p.m., Valley Springs — Ralph Armond Hopkins Jr., 49, of the 1100 block of Mockingbird Hill was booked after an arrest on Highway 26 at Vista Del Lago. 

SATURDAY

12:30 a.m., Murphys — Michael Steven Powell, 59, of the 6000 block of Keebie Lane, Camino, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Anrey Court. 

SUNDAY

1:25 p.m., West Point — Steven Michael Duvall, 45, of the 900 block of Ridge Road was booked after an arrest on Highway 26 and Sawyer Road.
