TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

THURSDAY

3:42 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A South Washington Street business received a suspicious call from someone claiming to be from PG&E demanding they be wired money or they would shut off the power.

7:16 p.m., domestic violence — A man and woman chased each other in separate vehicles on Sanguinetti Road and Mono Way.

FRIDAY

3:06 a.m., traffic accident — A truck hit a taxi cab on South Green Street in a hit-and-run.

10:34 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man in a green truck reportedly approached two juvenile girls on Columbia Way and motioned for them to get into the vehicle.

11:55 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman said her sister’s friend took her sister’s eight-month-old baby at a Greenley Road park and would not return the baby. The baby was eventually returned.

SATURDAY

12:21 a.m., vandalism — A man on Fairview Lane said his car was keyed and sugar was poured in the gas tank.

12:32 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman screamed and whistled at Rotary Park.

2:37 p.m., trespassing — A customer at a Mono Way restaurant refused to leave.

4:30 p.m., vehicle theft — A possible motorcycle theft was reported on South Stewart Street.

SUNDAY

1:22 a.m., disorderly conduct — Someone on Bonanza Road said neighbors had a loud party. The neighbors agreed to “bring everyone in” and turned down their music. 

6:06 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man on South Washington Street yelled and “cursed” at a woman after he hit her car. 

11:43 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A woman on Old Wards Ferry Road walked with no pants or shoes on. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY 

11:01 a.m., Jamestown — A motorhome was broken into near Woods Creek on Highway 108.

1:27 p.m., Groveland — A boy on Elder Lane said his brother kicked him and his friends out of the house after throwing a fan at them.

2:39 p.m., Sonora area — A man on Lime Kiln Road said a man with a shaved head and goatee was seen trespassing on his property wearing a bikini bottom.

2:44 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on Tuolumne Road said he saw a man and woman snorting something off of a magazine while parked in his driveway in a restored blue car.

4:03 p.m., Tuolumne — A garage was on fire on Maple Avenue.

5:44 p.m., Pinecrest — An agitated customer harassed employees and visitors at the Pinecrest Lake marina.

5:45 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Golden Dove Lane said someone in the neighborhood was shooting kittens with BB guns.

6:24 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Main Street said she was scammed by someone claiming to be from PG&E demanding $2,000 for a fee and threatening to shut off her power if she didn’t pay immediately.

8:06 p.m., Groveland — An M-80 firecracker was set off near Pine Mountain Drive.

8:28 p.m., Twain Harte — A man on Cedar Pines Avenue caused a disturbance.  He accused neighbors of holding his wife hostage and killing her. After discussion with law enforcement, the man remembered his wife had died.

9:57 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on Conklin Trail said she was assaulted by her daughter.

10:02 p.m., Sonora area — Fireworks were reported near Crystal Falls and American River drives.

FRIDAY

12:17 a.m., Jamestown — Fireworks were reported near Preston Lane.

4:09 a.m., Jamestown — Someone was spotted possibly stealing metal near Highway 108.

7:33 a.m., La Grange — A head injury was reported at a Bonds Flat Road campground.

9:10 a.m., Long Barn — Vacationers set off fireworks on Alpine Court.

9:41 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on Via Venado reported her car stolen, but further investigation revealed the car was towed.

11:30 a.m., Sonora area — A man said he was assaulted at  Reynolds Ferry Road campground.

4:41 p.m., Tuolumne — Fireworks went off on Canyon Drive.

5:30 p.m., Long Barn — A foot-tall flame was seen coming out of a grill on Kerns Drive Road.

5:51 p.m., Moccasin — A man was taken to the hospital after falling on a houseboat on Don Pedro Lake.

5:51 p.m., Sonora area — Bottle rockets were lit on Feather River Drive.

7:13 p.m., Strawberry — A man said he was run over by his girlfriend near Herring Creek.

8:08 p.m., Jamestown — Possible fireworks were reported near Chicken Ranch Road. Further investigation revealed the responsible parties were exploding dry ice bombs with dry ice and plastic bottles.

8:45 p.m. through 11:55 p.m., Tuolumne County — Deputies received 12 reports of illegal fireworks throughout the county.

9:44 p.m., Sonora area — An emergency room patient said he was assaulted near Campo Seco Road.

10:04 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman on Dogwood Drive said a unknown, disoriented man wandered into her house, ran out the front door and exited down the driveway.

10:25 p.m., Jamestown — A boat was found on Tulloch Lake that appeared to have been used in a crime. It contained a chainsaw, mallet, computer and other items.

10:45 p.m., Strawberry — Campers near Clarks Fork Road complained about a man pulling a handgun on them.

11:45 p.m., Sonora area — A man was reportedly lying in the middle of Lower Hillview Drive after kicking a hole in the wall of a nearby residence during a fight.

SATURDAY

12:56 a.m., La Grange — A woman reportedly was holding a shotgun in front of her house when her daughter’s boyfriend dropped her off at her residence on Highway 132.

6:07 a.m., Groveland — A tree was down on some power lines on Pine Mountain Drive.

9:01 a.m., Tuolumne — A backpack containing a phone and some clothes was reported stolen on Fish Hatchery Road.

11:14 a.m., Columbia — A man on Parrotts Ferry Road reported his daughter was beat up by her husband.

11:49 a.m., Sonora area — An historical ore cart was reported stolen from an Old Oak Ranch Road property.

12:48 p.m., Sonora area — An electric scooter parked on Chukar Circle was moved and dismantled, with parts removed and stolen.

1:35 p.m., Sonora area — A woman said two dogs killed her chickens near Old Oak Ranch Road and Northridge Road.

3:15 p.m., La Grange — A woman had difficulty breathing and coughed up blood at a Bonds Flat Road campground.

7:45 p.m., Sonora area — A man said another man was holding a knife and looking at him menacingly on Jamestown Road.

9:14 p.m., Sonora area — A woman was seen holding a beer while walking along the fog line on the eastbound lane of Mono Way.

9:48 p.m., Jamestown — A man on La Grange Road said $800 worth of equipment was stolen from the bed of his pickup truck.

SUNDAY

3:55 a.m., New Melones — A group of campers at New Melones reservoir were trying to tear down a fence and use it for firewood.

7:57 a.m., Columbia — A rug was stolen after a break-in at a Parrotts Ferry residence.

5:31 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Bench Drive said her neighbor kept setting her grass on fire. 

9:43 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on Old Wards Ferry Road ran down the road with no pants on. She claimed her pants fell off.

THURSDAY

3:30 p.m., Long Barn — Ronald Wayne Roy, 52, of the 26100 block of Janice Way, Long Barn, was booked on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender after an arrest on Janice Way.

FRIDAY

6:30 a.m., Jamestown — Kristopher James Randi, 23, of the 18700 block of Highway 108, was booked on suspicion of receiving stolen property, grand theft and misdemeanor suspicion of possessing burglary tools and resisting, delaying or obstructing a police after an arrest on Highway 108 near Sierra Rock Road.

1:56 p.m., Mi-Wuk Village — Timothy Scott Hoblitt, 43, listed as a transient, was booked on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender after an arrest at the Sierra Village mobile home park.

8:04 p.m., Sonora — Paola Favata, 47, of the 22400 block of Lena Lane, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at Sonora Regional Medical Center on Greenley Road. 

SATURDAY

1:30 p.m., Columbia — Lawrence Ronnie Martin, 59, of the 22200 block of Parrotts Ferry Road, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at his home.

6:52 p.m., Sonora — Edmond Joseph Allatt, 35, of Middle Camp Road, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after an arrest on Washington and Gold streets.

9:02 p.m., Jamestown — John Andrew Stobaugh, 49, of the 22700 block of Sawmill Flat Road, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance after an arrest on Jamestown Road at Highway 49.

SUNDAY

1:21 a.m., Twain Harte — Norman Lee Peters, 47, of the 1200 block of Swanson Road, Modesto, was booked on suspicion of evading law enforcement, possession of child pornography, drug possession and misdemeanor driving under the influence, possession of a billy club and drug possession after an arrest on the 23000 block of Frediani Way. 

4:30 p.m., Sierra Village — Steven Anthony Wise, 44, of the 25000 block of Highway 108, was booked on suspicion of assault and misdemeanor resisting arrest after an arrest at his home.

1:40 a.m., Jamestown — Stephen Earl Baker Jr., 58, of the 800 block of Palm Circle, Tracy, was arrested on Wigwam Road at Highway 49.

3:57 p.m., Sonora — John Harold Hutchman Jr., 51, of the 21900 block of Crystal Falls Drive, was arrested on Evergreen Way.

6:52 p.m., Tuolumne — Antoinette Yvonne Salazar, 35, of the 5100 block of Center Avenue, Empire, was arrested at Carter Street and Tuolumne Road North.

7:19 p.m., Jamestown — Edward Dudley Orpurt, 45, of the 11500 block of La Grange Road,  was arrested on Wigwam Road at Highway 49.

FRIDAY

8:45 p.m., Don Pedro — Steven Anthony Baird, of the 1400 block of Underwood Avenue, San Francisco, was arrested at the Blue Oak Campground on Bonds Flat Road.

10:01 p.m., Sonora — James Scott Gibston, 53, of the 21600 block of Crystal Lake Drive, Sonora, was arrested on American River Drive at Crystal Falls Drive.

SATURDAY

1:05 a.m., Sonora — Christine Eileen Spring, 57, of the 19500 block of Cottonwood Road, Groveland, was arrested at Sonora Regional Medical Center on Greenley Road.

7:39 p.m., Jamestown — Brian James Bennett, 49, of the 8700 block of Industrial Drive, Chinese Camp, was arrested on Highway 49 at Sims Road.

6:44 p.m., Sonora area — Shayne Stephen Darr, 42, of the 20100 block of Haystack Road, was arrested on the 13700 block of Mono Way. 

9:41 p.m., Jamestown — Dustin Charles Hunter, 28, of the 100 block of Upper Sunset Drive, was arrested on Humbug Street at Main Street. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

THURSDAY

7:27 a.m., Arnold — An attempted break-in occurred at a Blagen Road veterinary clinic.

8:44 a.m., San Andreas — A dispute between neighbors on Family Circle involved one neighbor reportedly trapping another’s cat and refusing to give it back.

9:19 a.m., Valley Springs — Theft was reported on Britton Court.

5:25 p.m., Murphys — People at a party in Murphys were reportedly throwing cigarette butts and beer cans off of the property.

FRIDAY

8:42 a.m., San Andreas — A person sat in a ditch off Highway 49.

12:28 p.m., Camp Connell — A stereo receiver and remote were stolen from a cabin on Highway 4.

3:06 p.m., Valley Springs — Two boats were reported stolen on Petersburg Road.

6:34 p.m., Burson — A fight was reported at a Wade Lane campground.

6:52 p.m., Wallace — Electronics, jewelry, cameras and other items were stolen in a break-in at Camanche Parkway South.

8:54 p.m., San Andreas — New residents on Pixley Avenue were reportedly setting off M-80 fireworks.

10:02 p.m., Milton — A possible burglary occurred at the Masonic Hall on Milton Road.

SATURDAY

12:58 a.m., San Andreas — A man was lying on the sidewalk on Mountain Ranch Road.

6:53 p.m.,  Valley Springs — People argued at a campground on Saint Petersburg Road. 

10:55 p.m., San Andreas — Gunshots were heard on Pixley Avenue and Court Street. 

SUNDAY

4:55 p.m., Murphys — People on Saint Algiers Street argued over an unleashed dog. 

9:17 p.m., San Andreas — Someone on Church Hill Road reported fireworks in the area. 

MONDAY

8:17 a.m., Murphys — People on Scott Street argued over a dog.

THURSDAY

11 a.m., Valley Springs — Tina Louise Harris, 41, of the 6400 block of Baldwin Street, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 2700 block of Dale Drive. 

11 a.m., Valley Springs — Scott Eric Gibbs, 40, of the 2700 block of Dale Drive, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest at his home.  

11:20 p.m., Valley Springs — Jennifer Renee Moulton, 20, of the 6500 block of Bergsma Road, was booked on suspicion of bringing drugs into a jail, drug possession and misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol after an arrest at Highway 26 and Highway 12. 

SATURDAY

1:15 a.m., Valley Springs — Arturo Garcia-Hernandez, 32, of the 600 block of 16th Street, Richmond, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on the 11700 block of Wade Lane. 

SUNDAY

11 a.m., Murphys — Kelly Louis Steely, 57, of the 1300 block of Highway 4, Arnold, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest on Highway 4 at Northwood Drive. 

6:46 a.m., Murphys — Lynette Chantell Gomez, 50, of the 34800 block of Gladstone Place, Fremont, was booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol and causing injury after an arrest on the 1800 block of  Six Mile Road.

12:06 a.m., Murphys — Paul Joseph Murphy, 50, of the 15800 block of Old Jackson Road, Drytown, was booked on suspicion of bringing drugs into jail and misdemeanor disorderly conduct after an arrest on the 1800 block of  Six Mile Road.

12:46 a.m., San Andreas — Marshall Lewis Jr., 20, of the first block of West Saint Charles Street, was booked on suspicion of assault with a firearm, child cruelty, making criminal threats and misdemeanor exhibiting a gun after an arrest on Church Hill Road.

2:37 p.m., San Andreas — Elizabeth June McMahan, 32, of an unknown address in San Andreas, was booked on suspicion of burglary and misdemeanor vandalism and possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on the 400 block of Gold Oak Road.

10:44 p.m., Valley Springs —  Robert George Freed, 21, of the 2000 block of Jackson Court, Lodi, was booked after an arrest on the 2700 block of Hogan Dam Road. 

5: 30 p.m., Arnold — Stacie Lynn Radford, 46, of the 1000 block of Manuel Road, was booked after an arrest at White Pines Park near Ebbetts Pass. 

SATURDAY 

2:47 a.m., Arnold — Michael Edward Koelling, 39, of the 2500 block of Chamonix Drive, was booked after an arrest at Highway 4 and Horseshoe Drive.
