TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:28 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10300 block of Preston Lane woke up to find someone had come into her house during the night and stole her medications.

9:07 a.m., East Sonora — A business on the 18900 block of Industry Way was burglarized. About $720 in cash was taken.

9:47 a.m., Tuolumne — A driver was driving drunk around River Ranch Campground on the 20900 block of Fish Hatchery Road and ran over a fence, damaging it.

10:02 a.m., Cherry Lake area — A parked vehicle was broken into at the Shingle Spring trailhead near the Cherry Lake dam. Clothing, a wallet and tools were taken. 

11:06 a.m., Jamestown — People trespassing on Jamestown Elementary School property on the 18200 block of Fifth Avenue built a bonfire on the property.

11:28 a.m., Pinecrest — Campers in one campsite took food, alcohol and possibly prescription medicine from another campsite at the Pinecrest Campground.

11:57 a.m., East Sonora — Five unauthorized charges were made on the bank card of a woman on the 17400 block of Wards Ferry Road.

12:53 p.m., Sonora Meadows — A woman on the 16500 block of Creekside Drive cut three locks put on her water line in order to use the water without paying for it. The reporting party has the locks and pictures of the damage.

  5;08 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 18700 block of Highway 108 was scammed by someone who called pretending to be his son asking for money for court fees. The man sent the scam artist $7,000.

5:42 p.m., Long Barn — Firewood was stolen from the 23300 block of Creek Road.

8:36 p.m., Long Barn — A neighbor said people abandoned a home on the 21100 block of Nugget Avenue and left hundreds of birds in the basement. Some were in cages and none had water. A few appeared to be dead.

SATURDAY

8:48 a.m., Long Barn — A home in foreclosure on Elmore Drive was vandalized by partiers from a nearby rental house.

9 a.m., Sonora area — A man said he suspected a woman of stealing his EBT card and breaking his eyeglasses on Scattergood Road. 

9:20 a.m., Twain Harte — A woman went to water the plants at her son’s vacation home on the 23100 block of Chamise Drive and found it had been broken into. The television set was gone and closets had been gone through.

1:24 p.m., Columbia — A golf cart was reported stolen on the 22300 block of Gunsight Road. 

2:20 p.m., East Sonora — A woman was trying to use a fake ID to gain entry to a private gym on the 13700 block of Mono Way.

4:45 p.m., Twain Harte — Parts were stolen from under a vehicle on the 22600 block of Twain Harte Drive.

5:49 p.m., Columbia — A woman said someone is squatting and lighting fires on her property on the 23000 block of Red Clay Road. 

7:08 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman on the 18400 block of Tuolumne Road said another woman assaulted her.

10:30 p.m., Sonora — Samantha Joann Crosby, 46, of the 11600 block of Golden Dove Lane, Jamestown, booked on suspicion of burglary and misdemeanor charges of defrauding an innkeeper, disorderly conduct and probation violation, after an arrest on the 400 block of Stockton Road.

2:03 a.m., Standard area — Brian Steven Baker, 44, of Livermore, arrested on Highway 108 at Standard Road. 

8:11 p.m., Jamestown — David Dale Powell, 34, of the 18100 block of Martin Lane, Sonora, arrested on Jim Brady Road at Seco Street.

8:48 p.m., Lake Don Pedro area — Donald Hamilton Holman, 55, of Castro Valley, arrested at Moccasin Point Marina on Jacksonville Road. 

The Sonora Police Department reported:

FRIDAY

1:22 p.m., traffic accident — A non-injury traffic collision occurred at Mono Way and Restano Way.

3:43 p.m., theft — A garage was burglarized on North Washington Street.

SATURDAY

2:13 p.m., assault — A man said he was assaulted on Steffen Way.

8:14 p.m., public intoxication — A 41-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

FRIDAY

11:03 a.m., Arnold — Someone was screaming and throwing things around on Longman Lane.

1:38 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A theft occurred on Ham Luddy Lane.

3:41 p.m.. West Point — An arrest was made on an out-of-county warrant at West Point Fire Station 1 on Spink Road.

8:13 p.m., Wallace — Juveniles were setting off bottle rockets that were landing at a gas station on Highway 12.

8:32 p.m., Valley Springs — A fight occurred at Sequoia Avenue and Myrtle Street.

 

SATURDAY

4:22 p.m., Murphys — A public intoxication arrest was made at Ironstone Vineyards on Six Mile Road. 

6:07 p.m., New Hogan Reservoir — A person was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication at Wrinkle Cove. 

8:32 p.m., Arnold — A person was arrested for public intoxication on Oak Court at Highway 4.

11:40 p.m., Valley Springs — A man was cited for indecent exposure after urinating on the side of the road on Highway 12.

7:25 p.m., Murphys — Steven Edward Lewis, 45, of Escalon, booked on suspicion of battery after an arrest at Ironstone Vineyards on Six Mile Road.

6 p.m., Valley Springs area — Elizabeth Sue Deaton, 28, of the 8900 block of Dogtown Road, Angels Camp, arrested on the 2400 block of Highway 12.

10:45 p.m., Valley Springs — Matthew Thomas James, 22, of the 90 block of Laurel Street, arrested on Myrtle Street at Sequoia Street. 

SATURDAY

1:30 a.m., New Melones Reservoir — Travis Stuart Bauer, 27, of the 8100 block of Old School Way, Mokelumne Hill, arrested in the Acorn Campground.

10:25 p.m., New Hogan Reservoir — Robert James Tarantino, 24, of the 7000 block of Cane Lane, Valley Springs, arrested at Wrinkle Cove.

11:15 p.m., New Melones Reservoir — James Robert Bertrand Jr., 21, of Fiddletown, Amador County, arrested in the Acorn Campground.
