The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:08 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone stole mail from a home on Brooks Road. 

8:17 a.m., Murphys — Someone on Highway 4 said their son was asked to leave but slept outside on a hammock instead. 

12:03 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone called a resident on Baldwin Street and “posed” as a computer company representative to scam them of $400. 

8:30 p.m., Arnold — People argued in a store on Highway 4. 


5:11 a.m., Jenny Lind — Someone on Shelton Road said her neighbor’s construction crews were making noise. She was advised to call back on a non-emergency line.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


10:06 a.m., public intoxication — A drunk woman had a difficult time standing after she was  “dropped off” at a business on Mono Way. 

10:17 a.m., animal complaints — A woman on North Washington Street said she had ongoing problems with the neighbor’s barking dogs. 

3:17 p.m., parking — A woman on East Pasadena Avenue said her neighbor’s trailer blocked her driveway. 

6:03 p.m., robbery — A man at a Greenley Road hospital said someone hit him in the head and robbed him in front of a Sonora-area bank. 

7:14 p.m., theft — A man at a South Washington Street grocery store stole $11 worth of merchandise. He was described as wearing shorts with “big blue” flowers and a black beard. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following: 


 8:30 a.m., Tuolumne — A truck on Yosemite Road was “syrupped” and plastic “wrapped.” 

12:18 p.m., Sonora area — A man on Jamestown Road said a scammer called and said he would be arrested if he did not wire the IRS money.

1:03 p.m., Jamestown — A woman on Main Street said someone was stealing propane tanks. 

1:36 p.m., Sonora area — A man at a Mono Way restaurant was refused service after he attempted to use a “poorly made” fake credit card. 

1:47 p.m., Twain Harte — Two boys at a park on Meadow Drive argued over a girl. 

5:13 p.m., Jamestown — A man on Oneil Court said his mother held on to his truck until he had a valid drivers license. 

8:06 p.m., Columbia — A woman at an RV park on Parrotts Ferry Road trespassed and said she would not move her RV because her license was expired.

9:33 p.m., Sonora area — Someone on Rough and Ready Trail said their neighbor’s loud music shook his house. 

10:47 p.m., Sonora area — A child on Via Este Road called the Sheriff’s Office because she was “disciplined” by her mother. 


12:54 a.m., Jamestown — A child on Fifth Avenue was afraid her drunk father was going to drive. The father agreed to “relax” and to bed. 

7:30 a.m., Groveland — A caller on Reid Circle said their “ex-fiance” pawned coins and other valuables while the caller was in jail.

2:21 p.m., Sonora area — Misty Dawn Gavi, 30, of the 10500 block of Petticoat Junction, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way at Tuolumne Road. 

7:50 p.m., Jamestown — William Charles Brewer, 48, of the 10600 block of Reservoir Road, was booked after an arrest on 8th Street at Sierra Avenue.
