CALAVERAS COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

 

FRIDAY

9:45 a.m., Arnold — A break-in and theft were reported on Bull Wacker Run.

11:13 a.m., San Andreas — A fight was reported between a landlord and tenant on East Saint Charles Street.

12:44 p.m., Valley Springs — A domestic abuse incident was reported on Pine Street.

2:38 p.m., Valley Springs — An altercation was reported between family members on Butler Court.

2:47 p.m., Dorrington — Multiple items were reported stolen on Navajo Drive.

4:02 p.m., Jenny Lind — A burglary was reported on Ospital Road.

4:47 p.m., Valley Springs — A person was found sleeping in a bedroom with items reportedly missing from the residence on Oak Ridge Road.

6:55 p.m., San Andreas Road — A man was standing in the middle of the road near a museum on Mountain Ranch Road.

9:12 p.m., Vallecito — Three pumpkins and a bucket were in the roadway at Highway 4 and Main Street, a caller said.

10:41 p.m., West Point — A possible fire was reported near Lily Gap Road.

11:31 p.m., Arnold — Police responded to a noise complaint at Meadow Drive.

 

SATURDAY

8:56 a.m., San Andreas — A fight was reported on Mariposa Street.

9:24 a.m., San Andreas — An arguement was reported at Calaveras High School.

10:09 a.m., West Point — A flue fire was reported on Hillside Road.

2:08 p.m., West Point — Someone reported possible trespassing on Argonaut Lane, with the gates of a property reportedly open and sounds of someone beating on a door nearby.

3:30 p.m., Arnold — An assault was reported on Highway 4.

5:40 p.m., San Andreas — A fire was reported at highways 12 and 49. The source was later found to be a large burn pile.

9:33 p.m., Vallecito — Someone on Poag Road reported items stolen from a wallet.

 

SUNDAY

8:32 a.m., Wallace — A suspicious person was at a business on Highway 12.

7:34 p.m., Valley Springs — One gunshot was heard near Quail Oaks Road and Covey Lane and a car took off speeding.

9:51 p.m., Valley Springs — A man said his wife called and told him there were three unknown people on the driveway of his property on McAtee Street.

SATURDAY

2:40 a.m., San Andreas — Dustin James Pruden, 27, of the 400 block of North Main Street, Angels Camp, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, after an arrest on the 700 block of Mountain Ranch Road.

8:12 a.m., San Andreas — Timothy Daniel Stuart Jr., 34, of the 100 block of Pixley Avenue, was booked on suspicion of violating felony parole and a misdemeanor charge of unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia, after an arrest on the 100 block of West Saint Charles Street.

FRIDAY

7:17 p.m., Valley Springs — Jennifer Moulton, 19, of the 7500 block of Yost Drive, was arrested at Bartelink Drive and Hartvickson Lane.

 

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

 

FRIDAY

10:29 a.m., assault — A fight was reported at Sonora High School.

12:18 p.m., traffic accident — A hit-and-run accident was reported at a Sanguinetti Road parking lot.

2:02 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A fraudulent check was used from a closed account in the purchase of a vehicle on Summit Avenue.

9:28 p.m., reckless driving — A possible road rage incident was reported near Mono Way and Restano Way.

10:41 p.m., theft — Two people were seen taking items from a Sanguinetti Road business.

 

SATURDAY

12:19 p.m., theft — Someone on Columbia Way said a rug was stolen.

12:29 p.m., lost, found property — A bike was left overnight in a South Washington Street bar.

3:12 p.m, suspicious circumstances — Two people pushed shopping carts into the road at West Stockton Street.

7:12 p.m., fight — A man and woman were in an argument on South Washington Street.

11:59 p.m., disorderly conduct — Multiple people were yelling and intoxicated at the skate park on Greenley Road.

 

SUNDAY

8:56 a.m., miscellaneous harassment — A possibly intoxicated man was harassing neighbors on South Barretta Street.

10:44 a.m., found property — Live ammunition was found in front of a business on South Washington Street. The ammunition was scheduled to be destroyed.

12:59 p.m., hazardous situation — An officer responded to a report of a downed power line on Elkin Street. The officer determined it was a disconnected cable wire from a nearby residence. The cable wire was moved out of the roadway.

2:21 p.m., theft — A laptop was stolen on Thursday from a Greenley Road apartment.

2:27 p.m., fraudulent activities — Someone reported identity theft at apartments on Greenley Road.

4:54 p.m., reckless driving — A caller reported a possible drunk driver on East Lyons Street. The driver was going in and out of the lane. An officer checked the area but was unable to locate the suspect vehicle.

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

 

FRIDAY

10:01 a.m., Groveland — A woman on Hetch Hetchy Court reported multiple electronic items and a gun taken from her home.

11:04 a.m., Columbia — A woman on Bigler Street reported her tires were slashed on her truck.

11:07 a.m., Groveland — A break-in was reported at a Packard Canyon Road bed and breakfast. The person reportedly broke in by taking an air conditioner unit out of the window.

1:57 p.m., Sonora area — A burglary was reported at a Tuolumne Road office with items taken that include a high-end radio, pillow, blanket and other items.

3:08 p.m., La Grange — A woman told law enforcement that every time she drives by her residence at Arbolada Drive her neighbor screams and curses at her about driving too fast.

6:38 p.m., Sonora area — A report was made to law enforcement of people with flashlights congregated around a vacant home near Trail Road and Buckboard Court. Police were unable to locate anyone upon arrival.

7:24 p.m., Sonora area — Two men and a woman were reportedly sitting on the railroad tracks at Campo Seco Road and Ellinwood Acres Road with a lantern or candle playing guitar.

7:33 p.m., Twain Harte — A fight was reported at a Meadow Lane bar.

 

SATURDAY

12:26 a.m., Jamestown — A domestic fight was reported at a Ninth Street residence, with a man telling law enforcement that his drunk 15-year-old daughter punched him in the face.

6:08 a.m., Sonora area — Someone was reportedly seen sleeping in the Standard post office on Mono Way with a bag of garbage and an open wine bottle nearby.

7:37 a.m., Twain Harte — A fight was reported on Twain Harte Drive.

8:03 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on Wards Ferry Road told police she received a call from a man with a heavy accent claiming to be from the U.S. Department of Health California asking about her medical history. The number was from the Commonwealth of Dominica.

8:34 a.m., Sonora area — An attempted break-in was reported on Old Oak Ranch Road. A door that accesses crawl space was kicked in.

9:16 a.m., Sonora area — Someone took a golf cart in the Phoenix Lake area overnight.

10:44 a.m., Sonora area — A lot of smoke was seen and reportedly coming from the Woodham Carne area.

11:45 a.m., Twain Harte — A resident near Mount Elizabeth Drive reported a lot of smoke in the area.

12:25 p.m., Columbia — A possible fire was reported on Mountain Boy Mine Road.

1:25 p.m., Jamestown — Multiple people were reportedly cutting wood near Cemetery Lane without permission. The people left when informed by police they were not allowed to be there.

2:09 p.m., Sonora area — A woman was taken from Mono Way and Highway 108 to the hospital because of a dog bite on her hand.

2:44 p.m., Jamestown — A man reported his vehicle was broken into at Highway 108 and La Grange Road.

3:30 p.m., Columbia — A woman reported her child’s father broke a window out of her apartment on Columbia Village Drive.

4:02 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on Wild Horse Lane called law enforcement to report her 13-year-old daughter missing. After deputies started to search the area, the girl arrived at home.

8:44 p.m., Jamestown — A possible fire was reported near Preston Lane and Vista Drive.

 

SUNDAY

4:43 a.m., Columbia — A man told police there were people behind his house with lasers, and he said he almost was attacked by a mountain lion. The man’s son reportedly later told police that he is seeing things.

8:18 a.m., Sonora area — Someone asked a sheriff’s deputy to check a residence on Feather River Drive that was boarded up and vacant because a person was inside throwing boards and other items around the house. The man told a deputy he was working on the house and had permission to be there and would advise the caller.

9:45 a.m., Jamestown — A man was outside screaming for another man to come out of his apartment on Preston Lane.

10:57 a.m., Twain Harte — A theft occurred at a business on Joaquin Gully Road.

1:13 p.m., Sonora area — A dog outside of a house on Longeway Road was not letting the resident get out of the home.

1:27 p.m., Tuolumne — An anonymous caller said kids were on a trampoline throwing things at cars on Cedar Street. The children denied the allegations and said they would refrain from doing anything that “looked like throwing stuff.”

2:16 p.m., Tuolumne — A pedestrian was warned after a sheriff’s deputy observed the person almost getting hit while crossing the road in front of a vehicle at Baker Avenue and Madrone Street.

2:27 p.m., Groveland — Someone found a puppy at a business in Groveland. The puppy was brown, possibly a boxer mix, and had a brown collar.

4:21 p.m., Sonora area — Someone was cited for trespassing off Lime Kiln Road.

5:09 p.m., Tuolumne — Someone attempted to burglarize a vacant house for sale on Pine Street. Windows were broken, and there were hand prints and pry marks from a crowbar on all of the doors. The person requested that a sheriff’s deputy check the scene for fingerprints.

8:24 p.m., Groveland — A man staying at a hotel on Main Street said another man inside the business was making him nervous. A sheriff’s deputy located the suspect who said he was waiting for a ride. Hotel staff advised the deputy that the man never threatened anyone and wasn’t violent, he was “just acting weird.”

9:40 a.m., Jamestown area — Joanna Maria Maguire, 42, of the 1000 block of Twining Avenue, San Diego, was booked on suspicion of possessing drugs or alcohol while in prison and bringing drugs or alcohol into prison, after an arrest at Sierra Conservation Center on O’Byrnes Ferry Road.

7:59 p.m., Sonora — Christopher Guy Cornaggia, 55, of the 4800 block of Encour Court, Bakersfield, was booked after an arrest at Highway 49 and Pesce Way.
