TUOLUMNE COUNTY

 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

 

THURSDAY

12:17 p.m., disorderly conduct — A homeless man made an inappropriate gesture and derogatory comment on South Washington Street. A police officer was unable to locate the suspect.

3:26 p.m., theft — A woman attempted to steal a bottle of alcohol from a business on Stockton Road. The store’s manager took back the product, and the woman fled.

4:19 p.m., weapons violations — A resident on Fairview Lane complained about repeated gunfire near his home. The man was advised about training going on in the area.

5:48 p.m., burglary — A lock box was taken off a South Arbona Circle house that’s for sale, and items were taken from the residence.

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

 

THURSDAY

11:43 a.m., Jamestown — A telephone scam was reported involving a caller who asked a woman on Third Avenue to send money or else the electricity at her business would be shut off.

1:52 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman said a neighbor was dumping trash behind her house on Columbia Drive.

4:21 p.m., Columbia — Multiple items were stolen from a man’s residence on Bigler Street.

 

FRIDAY

12:47 a.m., Tuolumne — A possible drunk driver in a brown Chrysler almost collided with a Tribal Security vehicle on Tuolumne Road North and was last seen heading north near Summerville High School.

8:10 a.m., Tuolumne — A package was stolen from a woman’s porch on First Avenue and she believed it may have been juveniles in the neighborhood.

9:47 a.m., Jamestown — A man said he found his stolen trailer in another county and is currently watching it. The trailer was previously reported stolen on La Grange Road in Jamestown.

10:01 a.m., Groveland — A gun, laptop and two iPhones were stolen from a residence on Hetch-Hetchy Court.

10:08 a.m., Sonora area — A woman on Brookside Drive said someone attempted to write a fraudulent check in her name.

Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:

 

THURSDAY

7:59 p.m., Sonora area — Christopher Guy Cornaggia, 55, of the 4800 block of Encoure Court, Bakersfield, was arrested at Highway 49 and Pesce Way.

 

CALAVERAS COUNTY

 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

 

THURSDAY

10:59 a.m., San Andreas — A person on Gold Oak Road was making a sandwich and accidentally pressed a button on the phone that dials 911.

12:38 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Someone reported an erratic driver near Highway 49 and Lombardi Drive.

 

Felony bookings

 

THURSDAY

2:20 p.m., San Andreas — Jeremy Vernon David Costa, 34, and Amber Duan Alice Hawthorne, 31, both of the 3300 block of Highway 12, Valley Springs, were each booked on suspicion of drug possession for sales, transporting drugs and storing drugs in a false compartment, after arrests on the 2900 block of Highway 12. Hawthorne was also booked on suspicion of felony battery on a custodial officer.

3:39 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — Bradford Martin Lyon, 53, of the 11400 block of Warden Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at his home.

10:44 p.m., Angels Camp — Colton James Bacoccini, 19, of the 4800 block of Jaquima Drive, was arrested at Highway 4 and Angel Oaks Drive.
