TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

FRIDAY

6:48 a.m., traffic accident — A South Washington Street business appeared to have been hit by a car the night before.

10:35 a.m., fraudulent activities — Someone tried to cash a bad check at West Stockton Road business.

4:13 p.m., reckless driving — Someone called police about a white truck carrying several men that ran a stop sign and smoked its tires on Sanguinetti Road.

6:02 p.m., unclassified — A woman reportedly threatened to hit a small child in a Sanguinetti Road business.

8:28 p.m., assault — A man said his ex-girlfriend’s mother assaulted him in a Sanguinetti Road store.

SATURDAY

7:54 a.m., civil problem — A woman at an unknown address reported threats from her former property manager.

5:41 p.m., harassment — A woman at a Greenley Road apartment complex told police she was harassed by a youth, and when she told the mother, the mother threatened to swing at her.

8:19 p.m., threats — A person said they were threatened by a former coworker, who the reporting party said was also posing as a cab driver and picking up fares.

SUNDAY

1:41 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man wearing a black hooded sweatshirt was allegedly attempting to break into a vehicle on South Washington Street. An officer spoke with the man, who was a locksmith and had permission to be there.

5 p.m., animal complaints — A black poodle with no collar was found somewhere near a church on West Jackson Street. The person who found the dog was going to keep it until the animal’s owner could be located.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

9:05 a.m., Sonora area — A report was made by a 13-year-old girl’s parents of a bullying-related assault at Curtis Creek Elementary School.

11:01 a.m., Twain Harte — Marijuana was reportedly found on a student at Twain Harte Elementary School.

4:03 p.m., Sonora — A shoplifting incident was reported at a Mono Way retail business.

4:06 p.m., Sonora area — A Wards Ferry Road man reported trespassing by multiple people at his residence. The man said he previously allowed the people to stay at his home, but now he wants them to leave because they keep fighting, were breaking items in his home and refused to leave.

4:53 p.m., Tuolumne — A suspected fraud was reported on Apple Colony Road, with a man claiming thousands of dollars in fraudulent charges on a credit card and a check he received in the mail for $1,900 that could be a scam.

5:40 p.m., Tuolumne — A fight was reported on Carter Street.

5:43 p.m., Groveland — A man reported a possible break-in at his house after finding a crow bar and pliers in front of his garage and part of his security door pried open.

7:18 p.m., Sonora area — A Country Club Lane resident reported two chain saws and wood stolen from her property.

10:11 p.m., Jamestown — A woman said her daughter stole a rifle and $900 worth of tools from her Jacksonville Road residence.

10:48 p.m., Sonora area — A man reportedly caused a disturbance on Chukar Circle, pushing over a barbecue grill and then leaving.

SATURDAY

10:55 a.m., Jamestown — Vehicle parts, including a frame and rear-end of a truck, were reportedly stolen from an industrial park at Enterprise Drive and Highway 120.

1:13 p.m., Columbia — Two men took a lava rock possibly from public land and drove off in a white van with no windows, a caller said.

3:18 p.m., Soulsbyville — A man was reportedly abusing a child on the side of the road near Highway 108 and Soulsbyville Road. Deputies were unable to locate the person or reported vehicle.

5:13 p.m., Sonora — A Mono Way store employee said a woman with two children shoplifted items before jumping into a gold Toyota Prius. The employee said the same woman had shoplifted from the store on previous occasions with the children as well.

5:37 p.m., Jamestown — A truck hit a house on Fifth Avenue.

6:40 p.m., Jamestown — A driver was stopped at Highway 120 and La Grange Road and warned for driving 45 mph in a 55 zone with 15 cars behind.

7:24 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman reported being harassed by her mother, saying her mother won’t stop calling and texting her.

10:28 p.m., Sonora area — A fight between roommates was reported, with the two apparently arguing over space in the refrigerator.

11:50 p.m., Columbia — A man on Bald Mountain Road wanted to press charges against his son for trespassing. The man told police that he evicted his son, but the son was not leaving. The man allowed the son to stay on the property in exchange for work, but had changed his mind after the son reportedly lied to him and put hamburger meat in a tree. A deputy told the man he would have to go through a formal eviction process.

SUNDAY

8:16 a.m., Sonora area — Someone on Feather River Drive said people keep coming and going from a neighbor’s house and suspected it was related to drugs. A sheriff’s deputy checked but no one was at the residence.

10:24 a.m., Tuolumne — Video surveillance cameras at a business on Tuolumne Road North caught a person stealing a couple of candy bars. The suspect was later seen gambling at a nearby casino.

4:15 p.m., Sonora area — Someone found a gray-and-white pit bull at Paseo De Los Portales and Phoenix Lake roads.

4:24 p.m., Jamestown — Someone left two tractors at a residence on Clio Court for the past several months and the property owner doesn’t know who they belong to. A sheriff’s deputy checked the serial numbers and the tractors didn’t appear to be stolen.

7:31 p.m., La Grange — A residence was burglarized on Zarzamora Street. A diamond-and-opal ring, DVD players and other jewelry were missing. The burglar gained entrance through a back door.

4:34 p.m., Sonora — Keith Michael Martin, 28, of the 20100 block of Jamestown Road, Jamestown, was booked on suspicion of petty theft with a prior jail term for the specific offense after an arrest in The Junction shopping center on Mono Way.

SATURDAY

12:57 p.m., Sonora — Nathan Huston Poe, 23, of the 16500 block of Creekside Drive, was booked on suspicion of forgery, first-degree burglary, theft from an elder and attempting to dissuade a victim or witness after an arrest at his residence. Police records report that Poe was living with the alleged victim and was accused of cashing fraudulent checks in her name.

4 p.m., Jamestown — Molini Beauty Pulu, 21, of the 4200 block of Maple Avenue, Castro Valley, was booked on suspicion of bringing alcohol or drugs into a prison after an arrest at the Sierra Conservation Center.

SUNDAY

5:13 a.m., Jamestown — Jose Albert Alavarez, 42, of the 3200 block of Loughborough Drive, Merced, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Chicken Ranch and Table Mountain roads.

1 a.m., Jamestown — Michael Richard Rutherford, 29, of the 20500 block of Old Buchanan Mine Road, Tuolumne, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor charge of driving while under the influence of drugs, after an arrest at Bell Mooney Road and Highway 49.

4:45 p.m., Tuolumne — Jason Daniel Peluso, 32, of the 14800 block of Curtis Circle, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest on the 18300 block of Gardner Avenue.

10:58 p.m., Jamestown — Joshua Jackson Murray, 34, of the 100 block of East Cowan Street, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at Donovan and Main streets.

12:05 a.m., Jamestown — Terry K. Kokas, 47, of the 10100 block of Peppermint Circle, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on Table Mountain Road near Chicken Ranch Road.

3:15 p.m., Tuolumne — Alan Leslie Kent, 65, of an unknown address, Columbia, was booked after an arrest at Black Oak Casino.

9:05 p.m., Sonora area — Carl Wayne Thurman, 49, of the 900 block of Shaws Flat Road, was booked after an arrest at Highway 108 and Highway 49.

SATURDAY

4:58 p.m., Sonora area — Freda Arline Shields, 63, of the 20900 block of Jamestown Road, Sonora, was booked after an arrest on Mono Way.

6:05 p.m., Jamestown — Manuel Wesley Taylor, 26, of Ninth Avenue, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest at Seventh Street and Sixth Avenue.

SUNDAY

6:51 p.m., Sonora area — Daniel Lee Rankin, 60, of the 18300 block of Wards Ferry Road, was arrested on the 1000 block of Mono Way.

9:54 p.m., Sonora area — Kurt Eldon Stanbridge, 30, of the 17900 block of Wards Ferry Road, was arrested on Wards Ferry Road south of Tuolumne Road.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

FRIDAY

8:47 a.m., Murphys — A vehicle break-in was reported on Sheep Ranch Road.

10:08 a.m., Murphys — A burglary occurred at Oak Tree Circle.

2:46 p.m., Arnold — A break-in was reported at a cabin on Crystal Way.

4:10 p.m., Murphys — An argument was reported on Pine Street.

5:06 p.m., Wallace — Someone on Highway 12 said a bathtub was stolen.

8:06 p.m., Campo Seco — A possible scam was reported, with someone on Buckboard Lane telling police they received money orders in the mail with instructions to deposit them, keep some of the money and forward the rest.

SATURDAY

12:57 a.m., Wallace — A very loud party was reported with drag racing at the back of a property on Ospital Road.

9:01 a.m., Burson — Several cords of firewood were stolen on Sturm Way, a caller said.

10:21 a.m., Arnold — A fight was reported on Anna Lee Way.

11:20 a.m., Valley Springs — Someone reported a pile of stolen mail on the edge of the road at Oak Leaf Lane and Highway 12.

9:55 p.m., Valley Springs — Vandalism was reported on Highway 26.

SUNDAY

5:16 p.m., Valley Springs — Vandals knocked over a mailbox on Huckleberry Lane.

8:23 p.m., San Andreas — An altercation occurred on Highway 49.

MONDAY

2:30 a.m., Valley Springs — A fight occurred on Paradise Peak.

2:44 a.m., San Andreas — A business was burglarized on East Saint Charles Street.

3:35 a.m., West Point — Charles Matthew Coatney, 37, of the 300 block of Stanley Road, was booked on suspicion of drug possession, after an arrest at his home.

12:03 p.m., Angels Camp — Benjamin Douglas Bailey, 25, of the 300 block of T Street, Sacramento, and Trevor Pantoga Munroe, 26, of the 3700 block of North Morris Boulevard, Milwaukee, Wis., were booked on suspicion of possession of concentrated marijuana, after arrests on the 400 block of South Main Street.

SATURDAY

10 a.m., Rail Road Flat — Wade Clinton Springer Sr., 47, of the 2800 block of Eganhoff Lane, was booked on suspicion of unlawful possession of firearm, after an arrest on the 2800 block of Eganhoff Lane.

10:51 a.m., Burson — Eric Luis Nelson, 59, of the 300 block of Blue Bird Lane, Avery, was booked on suspicion of grand theft, after an arrest on the 3500 block of Sturm Way.

11:01 a.m., Arnold — Robert Ian Hart, 30, and Jeffrey Hart, 18, both of the 2000 block of Anna Lee Way, were booked on suspicion of elder abuse, after arrests on the 2000 block of Anna Lee Way.

2:37 a.m., Angels Camp — Anthony Daniel Ballard, 21, of the 700 block of Mark Twain Road, was arrested at Vallecito and Depot roads.

7:53 p.m., Angels Camp — Jimmie Hollis Wood, 59, of the 1800 block of South Main Street, was arrested at South Main Street and Bret Hart Drive.

9:55 p.m., Angels Camp — Lisa Marie Wyrick, 38, of the 800 block of Tuolumne Avenue, was arrested on the 200 block of South Main Street.
