THURSDAY

6:11 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10600 block of Ninth Street said her locked car was burglarized.

8:43 a.m., Jamestown — A woman on the 10500 block of Seventh Avenue said her purse was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.

9:27 a.m., Gibbs Ranch — A woman on the 11100 block of Coopers Court said a 30-year-old plastic nativity set was stolen Tuesday night.

10:14 a.m., Columbia — A man on the 10000 block of Horseshoe Bend Road said his grandson took a vehicle and tore up a pasture.

10:38 a.m., Sonora — A caller said a suspicious-looking man with no shirt and his pants falling down was walking west on Stockton Road.

1:14 p.m., Jamestown — A man on the 20300 block of Jamestown Road said a woman was going through mailboxes near his house. When he asked her what she was doing, she said she was checking someone's mail, but then dropped all the mail and drove off.

1:41 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said a suspicious-looking man riding a blue bike was going through the halls at an apartment building on Preston Lane.

2:37 p.m., Dodge Ridge — A man said a snowboard was stolen.

3:51 p.m., Twain Harte — A caller on the 23700 block of Leisure Drive said a snowboard was stolen. The caller saw a school bus driver walk up to the house and knock on the door, but when no one answered, the driver walked away with the snowboard.

4:14 p.m., Columbia area — A man on the 21500 block of Marcus Lane said his barn was burglarized and about $500 worth of items stolen.

6:32 p.m., Columbia — A man said his vehicle parked at Columbia College was broken into.

7:38 p.m., Long Barn — A man on the 26400 block of Snowbowl Road said when he came home, he found a crock pot burned up, the house trashed and his friend missing.

10:25 p.m., East Sonora — A woman said someone was driving recklessly in a parking lot on the 13900 block of Mono Way.

FRIDAY

12:36 a.m., Columbia — A Columbia College security officer said an 18-year-old student was being combative toward the officer and other dorm residents.

8:22 a.m., Columbia — A caller on the 23000 block of Marble Quarry Road is receiving threatening e-mails from his Internet friend and wants to show them to a deputy.

8:26 a.m., Groveland — A caller said someone has been stealing power from a house he owns on the 19000 block of Second Garotte Road.

12:36 p.m., Don Pedro — A 22-year-old man was reported missing at Lake Don Pedro after he didn't show up for work the past two days. The man fishes at the lake. Park rangers were notified.

1:16 p.m., Twain Harte — A woman tried to cash a forged check at a business on the 18000 block of Tiffeni Drive. When confronted, the woman ran to her vehicle and tried to run over one of the cashiers.

1:37 p.m., Groveland — A caller on the 19000 block of Elder Lane said she received some mail from Canada that stated she won money, but had to send the company a check first. The caller sent them a check and was told the check they sent her was fraudulent.

2:28 p.m., Groveland — A caller on the 16600 block of Corcoran Gray Road said her neighbor threw some vegetation onto her property and is burning it without her permission.

3:14 p.m., Jamestown — A caller said she saw a man in a white car with no pants on Ninth Street ask a young girl where Sonora was.

4:14 p.m., Twain Harte — Teenagers were taking furniture out of a hotel on the 22900 block of Twain Harte Drive and carrying it to the skate park.

7:16 p.m., Don Pedro — A caller on the 3100 block of Merced Falls Road said her 16-year-old son is out of control and won't stop playing his electric guitar.

10:24 p.m., Columbia — A caller on the 11000 block of State Street said a drunken man was knocking on people's doors and asking to come in because he was drunk and cold.

SATURDAY

9:09 a.m., Jamestown — An employee of a bar on the 18000 block of Highway 108 said his tires were flattened.

2:10 p.m., Crystal Falls — A caller on the 16000 block of South Creekside Drive said she found an 8-year-old boy who came to her door and started talking to her. The boy was reunited with his father after running away because he was mad that he had to clean his bedroom.

2:17 p.m., Sonora area — A caller on the 19000 block of Christie Mae Lane said two or three 12- to 15-year-old boys were riding dirt bikes on her property.

3:01 p.m., Jamestown — A caller on the 10000 block of Preston Lane said her home was broken into and someone stole a vacuum cleaner and duffel bag.

5:46 p.m., Sonora — A caller said a deaf female had locked her keys in a red station wagon and was stranded at a bank on the 14000 block of Highway 108.

9:11 p.m., Strawberry — An employee at an inn on the 31000 block of Highway 108 said three people were being belligerent and smoking in their rooms, which is against the rules. She wanted them removed from the inn.

10:36 p.m., Long Barn — A caller on the 25000 block of Ellmaro Drive said his wife threatened suicide three times. His wife was heard in the background saying she is not suicidal and that her husband is drunk.

Felony bookings

THURSDAY

12:51 a.m., Sonora — Eric Van Croft, 36, no address listed, booked on a felony parole hold after an arrest on the 30 block of Elk Drive, Sonora.

According to a Sonora police report, Croft went to an Elk Drive house and was trying to talk to a woman there. She called 911. Police searched the house and neighboring houses and found Van Croft hiding in bushes with a sleeping bag and alcohol. He was arrested on a state parole warrant. He remained held without bail this morning.

2:33 a.m., Tuolumne — Gary Wayne Loyd Jr., 31, no address listed, Tuolumne, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, and driving with an open container of marijuana after an arrest on the 19200 block of Tuolumne Road. No details were available. He remained held this morning in lieu of $10,000 bail.

FRIDAY

1:17 a.m., Tuolumne — Randy Alan Beaty, 41, no address listed, Modesto, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia after an arrest on North Tuolumne Road in front of Black Oak Casino.

According to a sheriff's report, a deputy stopped a car driven by Beaty for a traffic violation and while searching the car, the deputy found a glass smoking pipe and small quantity of methamphetamine in a shirt.

Beaty was released yesterday after posting $10,000 bail.

Sonora police reports

THURSDAY

6:12 a.m., assault — A caller said a man was in a sleeping bag on the south side of the Tuolumne County Administration building. The 34-year-old man was taken to Tuolumne General Hospital.

7:54 a.m., theft — A stereo was reportedly stolen from an unlocked vehicle parked on the 300 block of Fairview Lane.

10:44 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a suspicious-looking man was running down Stockton Road.

1:57 p.m., forgery — A One-Twenty-Four employee said the restaurant received a phony check for $85.

3:19 p.m., public intoxication — A 52-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public drunkenness after an arrest on Linoberg Street. The man was asked several times to leave a bar, but refused.

5:12 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said two people were on a grassy area near the Greenley Road skateboard park, throwing lit sticks in the air.

8:58 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A caller said a large group of kids set up big lights and were using the skateboard park on Greenley Road after hours.

FRIDAY

8:43 a.m., animal complaint — There was a report of a black-and-tan stray dog wearing a Christmas bow and wandering from South Washington Street to Cassina High School on South Barretta Street.

11:24 a.m., suspicious circumstances — A man who had a small child with him appeared to be disoriented and unstable as he left a business on the 800 block of Delnero Drive.

11:37 a.m., traffic accident — An officer responded to a non-injury hit-and-run accident at the intersection of South Stewart and Lytton streets.

12:49 p.m., theft — A caller said her bank card and cellular phone were stolen earlier in the week from a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

3:39 p.m., threats — A caller said a man made verbal threats to her at a business on the 500 block of Stockton Road.

7:52 p.m., theft — A 17-year-old male was detained for shoplifting at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

8:40 p.m., weapons violation — A man at the bar of a restaurant on the 100 block of South Washington Street was acting "very weird." He had a couple of sticks with nails on them in the back of his pants. An arrest was made.

11:05 p.m., reckless driving — An 18-year-old man was cited and released for reckless driving at a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road.

11:19 p.m., fight — Several people were arguing in the bar area of a business on the first block of South Stewart Street.

SATURDAY

1:47 a.m., vandalism — A 24-year-old man was arrested for causing property damage to a hotel on the 100 block of South Washington Street.

7:30 a.m., animal complaint — A caller on East Jackson Street said two large, black dogs from across the street chased him into his house and were growling at his front door.

2:37 p.m., public peace — A business owner on the 10 block of South Washington Street had speakers outside of her store playing loud Elvis Presley music, a caller said.

7:28 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A 9-year-old boy went to a business on the 1100 block of Sanguinetti Road and said he had been at the movies with his older brother, but his brother had left him and wasn't coming back.

8:21 p.m., public intoxication — A caller on South Washington Street said her boyfriend was drunk at her place of business and wouldn't leave. An arrest was made.

10:27 p.m., vandalism — Two windows on the second floor of a South Washington Street motel were broken out.

YESTERDAY

12:32 a.m., threats — A man threatened to damage a woman's car at a business on the first block of South Stewart Street.

12:56 a.m., public intoxication — A 23-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of public intoxication. There was a report of a man "acting strange" near the intersection of South Stewart and Linoberg streets.

2:08 a.m., public peace — A caller said people were getting into a car every 20 minutes and making noise and yelling on South Barretta Street.

9:51 a.m., thefts — Several vendors at Mother Lode Fairgrounds reported items stolen from their booths.

7:59 p.m., San Andreas — Deputies responded to an argument at an apartment on the 500 block of Lewis Avenue.

12:05 p.m., San Andreas — A moving truck was high-centered in the road at a gas station.

8:49 p.m., San Andreas — A house on the 500 block of Angels Road was burglarized.

10:07 p.m., Valley Springs — A house was reported burglarized on the 7000 block of Evergreen Road.

FRIDAY

6:16 a.m., West Point — A gas leak was reported on the 200 block of Main Street.

4:07 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 2400 block of Meadowood Drive said her neighbor's house was on fire and full of smoke.

7:12 p.m., Valley Springs — A suspect made criminal threats to a caller on the 300 block of East Sequoia Avenue.

9:17 p.m., Arnold — A caller said there were cars playing music and possible underage drinking at White Pines Lake.

10:04 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — A head-on collision was reported on Highway 26, east of Highway 12. The California Highway Patrol had no information this morning.

10:19 p.m., Mokelumne Hill — There was a disturbance between a man and woman on the 8200 block of Clark Street.

11:40 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller on the 200 block of Laurel Street said someone was trying to turn the door knob.

11:53 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 300 block of East St. Charles Street reported two or three men arguing.

SATURDAY

1:23 a.m., Jenny Lind — A vehicle ran into a fence on the 11100 block of Milton Road.

2:08 p.m., Valley Springs — Deputies assisted California Highway Patrol officers with the recovery of a stolen vehicle on the 8600 block of Sparrow Road.

2:52 p.m., San Andreas — A caller on the 3000 block of Vista Verde Drive said unknown people moved into the home of his elderly mother, who is now living in a retirement home.

8:37 p.m., San Andreas — There was a possible gas leak at a business in the Central Sierra Shopping Center.

9:40 p.m., Valley Springs — A caller requested a deputy check a woman who was home alone on the 8100 block of Highway 26.

Felony bookings

FRIDAY

9:15 p.m., Valley Springs — Joseph Lee Fisher, 25, 200 block of Daphane Street, booked on suspicion of possessing a controlled substance and paraphernalia. Fisher remained in custody this morning at Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $45,000 bail. His arraignment was scheduled for tomorrow.

9:37 p.m., Valley Springs — Donald David Nicholson, 36, 300 block of East Sequoia Street, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of vandalism, making threats with intent to terrorize, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Nicholson remained in custody at Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $45,000 bail. His arraignment is scheduled for tomorrow.

SATURDAY

7:37 p.m., Mountain Ranch — A 51-year-old man was booked on suspicion of domestic abuse, driving under the influence of alcohol, selling and manufacturing marijuana for sale and carrying a concealed weapon. He remained in custody this morning at Calaveras County Jail in lieu of $80,000 bail. His arraignment was scheduled for tomorrow.
