CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:17 a.m., Valley Springs — A man on Ospital Road walked down the street and said he was headed for another state. 

12:59 p.m., San Andreas — A man on West St. Charles Street was “face down” on the sidewalk.

5:03 p.m., Valley Springs — Someone at a Highway 12 business was cited for shoplifting. 

7:41 p.m., Burson — A woman at a Highway 12 market walked out after she sprayed “almost a whole can” of bug spray on herself and put the “half-emptied” can back on the shelf. 

9:17 p.m., San Andreas — People were camped out at Neilson Park on Main Street.

Felony bookings

WEDNESDAY

2:05 a.m., San Andreas — Melanie Lynnae Rife, 27, of the 200 block of Almond Street, Manteca, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, evading police with a disregard for safety, vehicle theft, drug possession, receiving stolen property, and misdemeanor resisting arrest after an arrest on Highway 49 at Carol Kennedy Road. 

2:15 p.m., San Andreas — Lester Borges Dias, 24, of an unknown block of Daniels Avenue, Escalon, was booked on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon, evading police with disregard for safety, vehicle theft, receiving stolen property, and misdemeanor resisting arrest after an arrest on Highway 49 at Carol Kennedy Road. 

TUOLUMNE COUNTY 

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:24 a.m., reckless driving — Someone on Mono Way saw a reckless driver throw a cigarette out his window. 

8:31 a.m., unclassified — A deer’s head was found in a garbage can at a West Stockton Road gas station. 

2:47 p.m., found property — Someone on Columbia Way found a driver’s license. 

4:54 p.m., public nuisance — Someone at a Sanguinetti Road store left a bag of their household trash in a parking lot. 

5:16 p.m., traffic accident — A driver on South Stewart Street hit a power pole.

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

WEDNESDAY

8:24 a.m., East Sonora — A man at a Mono Way mobile home park gave a woman a blank check to “take care of a transaction” and he had not seen her since. 

8:34 a.m., Columbia — A woman on Parrotts Ferry Road believed her “ex” followed her. 

9:08 a.m., Groveland — A man on Reid Circle heard his girlfriend and her brother pawned all his property. 

1:04 p.m., Jamestown — Deputies found a man who dumped green bags of trash on the side of Whiskey Road and he agreed to pick up his garbage. 

3:06 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on Phoenix Lake Road said she was being held against her will. She was advised by deputies to seek mental health treatment.

WEDNESDAY

8:40 a.m., Sonora area — Deric Tomas Dehart, 24, of the 100 block of Columbia Way, was booked on suspicion of failing to register as a felony sex offender after an arrest on Columbia Way and North Stewart Street.

11:06 a.m., Sonora — Chris Patrick Hall, 65, of the 200 block of Bonanza Street, was booked on suspicion of assault after an arrest at his home.

WEDNESDAY

12:01 a.m., Sonora area — Amber Ann Mercado, 25, of the 22400 block of Hitching Post Road, was booked after an arrest on Longeway Road at Lucky Strike Trail. 

5:29 p.m., Sonora — Pamela Ann Clayton, 47, of the 13300 block of Amy Court, Waterford, was booked after an arrest on Summit Avenue.

THURSDAY

1:52 a.m., Sonora — Bobby Ray Kelly, 22, of the 17600 block of Rolling Hills Boulevard, Jamestown, was booked after an arrest on the 300 block of Fairview Lane.
