CALAVERAS COUNTY

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:54 a.m. San Andreas — Someone was arrested for public intoxication at the Calaveras County Superior Court.

10:21 a.m. San Andreas — An “unoccupied” coffin was found in abandoned storage container on Highway 49.

2:40 p.m. Valley Springs — A vehicle was burglarized on Highway 12.

5:42 p.m. Copperopolis — A money scam was reported on Pommel Way. 

7:49 p.m. Angels Camp — Someone harassed and “flipped the bird” at man on Amador Avenue. It is an ongoing issue between neighbors.

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

TUESDAY

12:45 p.m. theft — A laptop and other personal items were stolen from a shopping cart at a Sanguinetti Road store. The victim believed the theft was caught on security cameras. 

2:02 p.m. threats — A man made threats after getting fired from a Sanguinetti Road business.

3:23 p.m. animal complaints — A black dog ran loose in the emergency waiting room of a Greenley Road hospital. The dog was taken to Tuolumne County Animal Control. 

3:47 p.m. fraudulent activities — A woman claimed she received a fake $100 bill after cashing her check at a Sanguinetti Road business. 

6:25 p.m. vandalism — Vandalism was reported at a South Barretta Street address.

8:51 p.m. warrant arrests — A man was served with a notice for illegal camping and arrested for a misdemeanor warrant on Sanguinetti Road.

10:05 p.m. trespassing — Three people were served with illegal camping notices on Mono Way.

10:13 p.m. traffic violation — A man was arrested at a Mono Way shopping center for driving without a valid license.

WEDNESDAY

12:39 a.m. trespassing — A person was cited for illegal camping at Rotary Park on Woods Creek Drive. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

TUESDAY

8:28 a.m. Jamestown — A Willow Street woman said someone tried to break into her home because one of her windows was off its track.

8:57 a.m. Tuolumne — A Carter Street resident received several phone calls from a possible scammer.

9:57 a.m. Pinecrest — A 7-year-old boy was found walking down Pinecrest Lake Road. He said he “wants a new family.”

11:19 a.m. Jamestown — A Nelson Road resident caught a young person possibly trying to steal from his property. The youth said “I’m sorry, I won’t be back” and fled on a red bike. 

11:22 a.m. Jamestown — A Kawasaki motorcycle was stolen on North Drive.

11:45 a.m. Jamestown — A black Chevy Aveo hatchback was stolen on Kistler Ranch Camp.

12:14 p.m. Sonora — An arrest was made after a Fair Oaks Court woman said she believed her sister went to the doctor and got prescriptions filled under her identity.

2:07 p.m. Twain Harte — A 33-year-old man admitted to stealing his mother’s ATM card and withdrawing $60. 

3:07 p.m. Sonora — A man’s estranged wife arrived at his parent’s Green Meadow Lane residence and tried to steal his keys. 

3:32 p.m. Jamestown — A man said his sister stabbed their father in the face on Vista Drive. He said his father was bleeding but refused medical help. 

4:41 p.m. Sonora — An Upper Hillview Drive woman said someone stole and cashed a $90 check made out to her housekeeper. Her housekeeper denied taking the check.

5:28 p.m. Mono Way — Multiple people called in disturbances at a Mono Way restaurant. Allegedly drunk people argued and refused to leave.

7:48 p.m. Mi-Wuk Village — A woman requested that an officer speak to her 7-year-old son who has a habit of stealing from stores and other people. An officer spoke with the boy about his behavioral issues.

WEDNESDAY

12:25 a.m. Twain Harte — Several people were yelling and fighting on Twain Harte Drive.

2:25 a.m. Tuolumne — An officer pulled someone over on Tuolumne Road for going 15 miles below the speed limit and for crossing double yellow lines. The person claimed to have almost hit a deer and was driving cautiously. 

Felony bookings

TUESDAY 

4:45 a.m. Sonora — Susan Marie Miller, 54, of the 20900 block of Jamestown Road, was booked on suspicion of possessing prohibited ammunition after an arrest at her home. 

4:455 p.m. Phoenix Lake — John Paul Quelvog, 38, transient, was booked on suspicion of threatening with intent to terrorize and crimes against an elder or dependent adult after an arrest on the 21200 block of Phoenix Lake Road.  

5:40 p.m. Sonora — Nathaniel Adam Sheppard, 33, of the 23100 block of Chanice Drive, Twain Harte, was booked on suspicion of failing to register as a sex offender after an arrest at a Greenley Road hospital.
