The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


10:47 a.m., Sonora area — Ten gallons of gasoline were stolen on the 16900 block of Columbia River Drive.

11:29 a.m., Sonora area — A residence on the 20800 block of Longeway Road was ransacked and burglarized.

12:02 p.m., Sonora area — Someone stole a wood stove, damaged cabinets, broke a window and painted graffiti on the walls of a foreclosed home on the 15200 block of Cavalieri Road.

12:06 p.m., Sonora area — A man went home for lunch and noticed a white Kia Rio with a female driver and a man in the backseat parked at the end of a driveway on 15300 block of Bear Cub Drive. They told him they were doing door-to-door sales, but sped off when he asked for identification. 

12:15 p.m., Jamestown — Someone attempted to burglarize a youth center on the 10500 block of Seventh Street. Damage was done to the phone box in an attempt to disable the alarm system.

5:06 p.m., La Grange — Mail was stolen out of a mailbox on the 6200 block of Casilla Court.

10:15 p.m., Standard — A woman said she left her vehicle unlocked at Standard Park and someone stole her laptop and iPod from it.

Felony bookings


10:51 p.m., Twain Harte — Glenda Lee Partain, 61, of the 21700 block of Cedar Springs Road, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest at her home.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


12:05 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — Sandra Dee Hike, 52, of the 19100 block of Yost Ranch Road, was arrested on Acorn Drive north of Phoenix Lake.

3:32 p.m., Sonora — Sara Lynn Dodero, 29, of the 16100 block of Placer Street, Jamestown, was arrested on the 100 block of Stockton Road. Lynn was also booked on suspicion of a misdemeanor charge of possessing a drug without a prescription.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


6:52 p.m., traffic accidents — A juvenile female was taken by ambulance to Sonora Regional Medical Center with minor injuries after crashing her 1998 Chrysler Sebring into a tree on Snell Street. A witness said she got out of her car after the crash and was yelling not to call the police, but her car was too damaged to drive away.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


8:36 a.m., Valley Springs — A car windshield was broken by a rock on St. Andrews Road.

9:45 a.m., San Andreas — A lock was cut on a property gate at an unknown address. 

12:08 p.m., Arnold — A burglary occurred at a business on the 2100 block of Highway 4. 

2:35 p.m., Wallace — An assault occurred at a business on Southworth Road.


3:23 a.m., San Andreas — A caller said a suspicious vehicle was parked on East Charles Street.

7:18 a.m., Murphys — A business on the 300 block of Main Street had its windows broken. 

Felony bookings


6:35 a.m., Valley Springs — Andrew Richard Neuner, 30, of the 400 block of Covey Lane, Valley Springs, booked on suspicion of felony robbery and misdemeanor assault after an arrest at his home.

12:40 p.m., Arnold — Roger Wyatt Adams Jr., 29, of the 2800 block of Venado Road, Arnold, booked on suspicion of felony assault and misdemeanor violation of a court order and making annoying phone calls, after an arrest at the 2000 block of Venado Road.


Cited on suspicion of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs:


9:30 p.m., Murphys — Leon John Dyken, 43, of the 27800 block of New School Road, Nevada City, was arrested on the 4000 block of Ponderosa Road. Dyken was also booked on suspicion of marijuana possession and probation violation. 

Fire calls


4:43 p.m., Dorrington area — A small forest fire broke out on Forest 6N08 east of Burnt Corral Ridge. State and local firefighters responded and extinguished the blaze by 1:43 p.m. the next day, after it had damaged less than an acre of timber. No one was injured and a cause was still undetermined.
