CALAVERAS COUNTY 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SATURDAY

8: 07 p.m., Valley Springs — An explosion was heard on McCauley Road. 

SUNDAY

1:55 p.m., Mountain Ranch — Someone on Jesus Maria Road was drunk in public. 

MONDAY

10:54 a.m., Valley Springs — A man was in a sleeping bag on a lawn at a park on Daphne Street. 

8:38 p.m., Copperopolis — Someone said that a white box van was swerving into another lane on Highway 4 near Little John Road.

SUNDAY

10: 57 p.m., Arnold — Ryan Whitney Bond, 32,of the 5000 block of Hillcrest Drive, Hathaway Pines, was booked on suspicion of possession of drugs for sale after an arrest on Pine Drive and Meadowview Road. 

MONDAY

12:19 a.m., Arnold —Thomas James McNicholas, 47, of the 3000 block of Highway 4, Avery, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor resisting arrest, after an arrest on the 100 block of Mill Creek Circle.

6:03 p.m., Valley Springs — Kimberly Ann Seay, 37, of the 500 block of St. Andrews Road, was booked after an arrest on the 2000 block of Grouse Drive. 

SUNDAY

3:03 p.m., San Andreas — Daniel Keith Ashlock, 26, of the 1000 block of Windmill Circle, was booked after an arrest on the 400 block of East St. Charles Street. 

TUOLUMNE COUNTY

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:

SATURDAY

11:53 a.m., unclassified — Multiple people were sleeping in a motor home behind a Snell Street church.

4:38 p.m., suspicious circumstances — A man was seen in front of a business on West Stockton Road with a shopping cart, barely dressed and acting strangely.

11:20 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Two people were fighting at South Forest Road and West Stockton Road.

SUNDAY

3:08 p.m., suspicious circumstances — Someone said a skinny, dirty, shaggy haired transient was following them on Woods Creek Drive. 

5:45 p.m., reckless driving — Someone said there was an ongoing issue of motorcycles racing on Shaws Flat Road. The motorcycle drivers denied racing, but said that they were making a movie. 

MONDAY

4:07 a.m., suspicious circumstances — An East Hillcrest Drive man said he heard someone making noise outside his window. An officer responded and located an opossum. 

The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:

SATURDAY

9:23 a.m., Sonora area — A vehicle with stolen plates and pulling a trailer hit a tree on Rosey Ridge Court. The driver fled the scene.

5:23 p.m., Sonora area — A woman on Wards Ferry Road said a rabid squirrel was stuck on her deck, and it chased her when she tried shooing it away.

6:56 p.m., Phoenix Lake area — A fire was reported on Expedition Drive and ended up being a large burn pile.

11:15 p.m., Twain Harte — A large party with a bonfire took place on Mount Provo Road.

SUNDAY

12:31 a.m., Jamestown — A patron at a Highway 108 bar was trying to get back into the bar and threatening the bouncer after being told to leave.

1:14 a.m., East Sonora — A person was reportedly assaulted by several people under the bypass at Mono Way and Peaceful Valley Road.

1:33 a.m., Jamestown — A fight occurred at a Highway 108 bar.

2:14 a.m., East Sonora — A second person said she was assaulted under the bypass at Mono Way and Peaceful Valley Road.

3:20 a.m., Tuolumne — A man on Yosemite Road said someone called him 28 times threatening to kill him after a fight at a Jamestown bar.

1:18 p.m., Columbia —  A man on Bald Mountain Road said that he heard a high frequency “twinkle, twinkle little star” sound. 

9:52 p.m., East Sonora — A wild rabbit bit someone on Hess Avenue. 

MONDAY

12:06 a.m., Long Barn — A woman on Bonanza Drive dialed 911 because she had a ring stuck on her finger. She was referred to a non-emergency phone line. 

9:12 a.m., East Sonora — A woman said that her roommate threatened to shoot her dogs because she threatened to remove his cats from their residence on Hess Avenue.

SATURDAY

3:05 p.m., Sonora — Joshua Steven Hamrick, 32, of the 2100 block of Seventh Street, Ceres, was booked on suspicion of gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated and driving under the influence after an arrest on Highway 49 at Flume Road.

6:49 p.m., Jamestown — Dale Gene Biehle, 43, of Mono Way, Sonora, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and violation of probation after an arrest on Seventh Street.

MONDAY

11:06 p.m, Jamestown — Kristopher James Randi, 35, transient, was booked on suspicion of drug possession and misdemeanor violation of probation, after an arrest at Highway 108 and South Stockton Street.

8 p.m., Sonora — Bruno Trial, 59, of the 200 block of Woodside Drive, was arrested at  Woodside Drive and Ponderosa Lane.
