A missing 75-year-old Murphys woman was found injured in Tulare County on Sunday.
Few details were available Tuesday afternoon, but about 1 p.m. Sunday, the Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office was notified that a Tulare County Sheriff’s deputy found Fay Burford wandering on foot in a rural area.
Burford was reported missing on Friday after she didn’t return home from a trip to the Bay Area.
She had last been seen at a scheduled appointment in Walnut Creek about 10 a.m. Thursday and was expected to return home later that day.
The Calaveras County Sheriff’s Office notified the public of her disappearance about 4:45 p.m. Friday.
The Sheriff’s Office said her bank card had been used Thursday in Coalinga in Fresno County about 6:30 p.m. and Lake Isabella in Kern County about 11:30 p.m.
The 1996 Jeep Cherokee that she drove to the appointment had not been found by Tuesday afternoon.
She was taken to a Tulare County hospital with minor injuries.
The incident is still under investigation.
