The Sonora High School Golden Regiment played in front of about 1,000 screaming Sonora fans — among 37,000 others — at a San Francisco Giants home game. Although the Giants lost to the San Diego Padres, the 280 band members roared through "Rag Doll" by Aerosmith — among other popular tunes — and filled the stadium with a rousing rendition of The National Anthem. Coming tomorrow: More photos and an account from a Union Democrat reporter, an alumna of the Golden Regiment, who traveled to the game "embedded" with current band members.
