PUBLIC MEETING: Tuolumne Utilities District, 2 p.m. Tuesday, 18885 Nugget Blvd., Sonora.
Tuolumne Utilities District’s board members will consider multiple infrastructure projects when they meet Tuesday.
The board is scheduled to consider a proposal for a recycled-water pump, pipeline and spray field at the district’s Quartz reservoir. The small reservoir stores treated sewage for TUD and the Jamestown Sanitary District, and as many as 30 customers have purchased the recycled water for various uses.
The district is looking to build a pump and irrigation system from the Quartz reservoir to spray fields near Campo Seco. According to TUD, the project will not have a significant impact on the environment and therefore will not require a lengthy environmental impact report.
Also scheduled for Tuesday’s meeting is a proposal to build a water line connecting the Scenic View-Scenic Brook, Apple Valley, Phoenix Lake Park and Mono Village water systems. The project would involve digging a trench and installing 2,400 feet of 8-inch and 10-inch lines to connect the systems.
The district is applying for a state grant to fund the project.
In other business Tuesday, the board is scheduled to:
• review the district workers compensation and liability insurance programs.
• discuss the district’s surface water supply and its relationship to federal regulations.
• possibly approve changes to the district’s agreement with consultant John Mills, who represents TUD’s interests in state and federal policy matters.
