Sonora Pass opens to Kennedy's

Caltrans opened Highway 108, the Sonora Pass route, to Kennedy Meadows at noon Friday in time for the beginning of fishing season on April 30. No date has yet been set for opening the highway over Sonora Pass to the junction with Highway 395. The pass is closed every year during the snow season and usually opens around the Memorial Day weekend. For the latest in highway infrmation, call 800-427-7623.
