The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


9:22 a.m., San Andreas — Possible theft was reported on Hildebrandt Street.

11:53 a.m., Arnold — A residence was burglarized on Patricia Lane.

3:51 p.m., San Andreas — A set of keys were stolen on Pool Station Road.

5:41 p.m., Valley Springs — A shoplifter was held in custody at a business on Highway 26 and released to their parents.


The Sheriff’s Office reported the following:


7:44 a.m., Sonora area — Someone slashed a woman’s tires on the 20200 block of Clavey Court.

4:37 p.m., Tuolumne — A woman said her home on the 19000 block of Hillhaven Road was burglarized. The house was ransacked and $800 cash was taken.


6:54 a.m., East Sonora — A woman on the 14600 block of Mono Way said $80 in fraudulent charges were made to her bank card.

Felony bookings


12:46 a.m., Tuolumne — Eric James Bailey, 28, of the 19500 block of Mi Wu Street, was booked on suspicion of assault, after an arrest on the 19400 block of Tuolumne Road.

1:32 a.m., Twain Harte — Philip Eugene Archambeault, 55, of the 2800 block of Rain U Street, San Jose, was booked on suspicion of possession of a firearm and a misdemeanor charge of driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs, after an arrest at Meadow Lane and Fuller Road.

11:12 p.m., Sonora — Jeremy James Williams, 25, transient, was booked on suspicion of battery with serious bodily injury, after an arrest on the 900 block of South Washington Street.

The Sonora Police Department reported the following:


12:42 p.m., burglary — An unknown man carrying a backpack walked inside a residence on South Barretta Street. When the homeowner confronted the intruder, he ran out the back and into the neighbor’s yard.  

6:43 p.m., fraudulent activities — A woman on Pesce Way said she found an advertisement on Sonoraville, an online exchange, for an iPhone 4 that was for sale. The woman contacted the phone number on the advertisement and agreed to pay $100 for it. The female seller assured her the phone was not stolen, but the buyer found out that it was after contacting AT&T. She tried calling back, but was unable to reach the seller.

7:10 p.m., suspicious circumstances — While parked at a signal light at Mono Way and Fir Drive, someone said a man with a shaved head and goatee approached the car window while brandishing a knife. A second man crept up to the window on the other side of the car and yelled “boo.” He was dressed in all black and holding a banana.
