An unsettled weather pattern is predicted to bring a chance of rain and snow to the foothills early next week, and the Pinecrest Lake Resort Marina announced Thursday that it will open Saturday morning.
The National Weather Service said a weak weather pattern is expected to move through the area today, with rainfall possible close to the Sierra Nevada crest.
Temperatures are expected to stay 5 to 10 degrees above normal over the weekend, before the arrival of a low-pressure trough from the Gulf of Alaska on Monday.
Foothill temperatures will drop from the low 70s on Monday to the upper 60s on Tuesday, the NWS said.
