A Copperopolis man suffered major injuries as he attempted to push his car out of a garage Monday, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident happened about 4 p.m. Robert Clark, 63, was pushing the 2000 Jeep Cherokee into his driveway.
A wheel chock intended to stop the car was set incorrectly, CHP said.
Clark, who was inside the Cherokee, which was turned off, jumped out in an effort to reset the chock. He was hit by the rolling car’s door and was knocked to the ground.
He was taken to Mark Twain Medical Center in San Andreas for treatment.
