Four of the five seats on the Calaveras County Water District’s Board of Directors will be voted on in the Nov. 4 general election.
The board adopted a resolution at its Wednesday meeting formally approving the seats be placed on the ballot.
The candidate filing period for the seats will be July 14 through Aug. 8. If an incumbent doesn’t file for re-election, the filing period will be extended five days, CCWD staff said.
Board President Scott Ratterman, whose district includes San Andreas, plans to seek re-election as does Director Don Stump, whose district includes the Arnold area.
Directors Bob Dean and Dennis Dooley both said after the meeting that they do not plan to seek re-election. Dean’s district includes the communities of Mountain Ranch and West Point, while Dooley’s district includes Copperopolis.
