Fires rage in La Grange

Two separate fires are burning east of La Grange, according to Cal Fire.

More than 30 acres have burned in the 4000 block of La Grange Road/J59 since 12:18 p.m., according to Cal Fire spokesperson Lisa Westbrook. That fire appears to be under control.

The extent of the second fire is unknown, however it has been burning an area on Las Cruces Road near the Seven Legends subdivision, she said. Firefighters responded to that fire at 1:41 p.m.

Air tankers were dispatched to the site as crews continued to douse the blaze. Read Tuesday’s Union Democrat for more details
