Final election results done |
With the results of the June 5 election becoming official today, none of the local election results have changed. The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to vote to certify the local results for the statewide primary election.
Karl Rodefer, who was short a handful of votes from winning the Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors District 5 seat outright, held 49.8 percent of the votes, according to the final results. That will put him in a runoff against Domenic Torchia, the second-place candidate for District 5. Rodefer and Torchia will face each other in a runoff in November — seeking to replace Dick Pland, who chose not to run again — as will District 1 candidates Sherri Brennan and incumbent Liz Bass. John Gray, of District 4, won his seat outright in a two-man race against recent high school graduate Nolan Matter. The results of the City Council election also remain the same, with Councilmen Ron Stearn and Bill Canning keeping their seats and newcomer Connie Williams taking the most votes to win the third seat. |
