 After administrators at Summerville High School heard some students were planning to shoot faculty and students, they sent the suspects home on the bus.

PG&E to shut down main canal for maintenance

 The Pacific Gas and Electric ditch-and-flume system known as the Main Canal, which conveys 95 percent of Tuolumne Utilities District water from the South Fork Stanislaus River watershed, is scheduled to be shut down Oct. 11 through 19 for annual maintenance, according to TUD.
