Candidates continue to pull election paperwork in Tuolumne and Calaveras counties.
Several key posts in county government, along with state and district offices, will be voted on in the June 3 primary election.
The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors, District 2 — which includes the Soulsbyville and Phoenix Lake areas — has two potential candidates thus far in incumbent Randy Hanvelt and challenger Paul McNaul.
Only Supervisor Evan Royce has so far pulled paperwork for District 3, which includes the towns of Tuolumne and Twain Harte.
As for the Calaveras County Board of Supervisors, there are three potential candidates for District 3 — incumbent Merita Callaway and challengers Michael Oliveira and Mike Borean. District 3 spans from the Murphys area along the upper Highway 4 corridor.
For District 5 in the Valley Springs area, candidates Marti Crane and Steven Kearney have pulled papers. Incumbent Darren Spellman has previously said he plans to seek re-election.
Primary elections for several state and federal legislative posts will be on the ballot also.
