A story in yesterday's edition gave incorrect information about the housing element of Tuolumne County's General Plan, updated and approved by county supervisors Tuesday. The plan still says that between 10 and 20 percent of each new development "shall" be affordable for people with very low, low or moderate incomes. Language that was changed from "shall" to "may" at Tuesday's meeting concerned another part of the element a "jobs-housing" program that could be interpreted to mean owners of new businesses would have to provide housing for their employees.
