The Calaveras County Water District Board of Directors at a meeting tomorrow morning will consider a request to build an amphitheater at White Pines Lake off Highway 4.
CCWD leases a portion of its White Pines Lake property to the White Pines Park Committee. The Arnold Rotary Club, to celebrate Rotary International's centennial, and with the approval of the committee, is asking to build a 500-seat outdoor amphitheater for community use at the park.
The board will discuss the proposal and might take action.
Also, Rudy Hernandez, CCWD finance director, will ask the board to approve a list of delinquent accounts for submission to the Calaveras County tax collector to be placed on the tax rolls. This is an annual resolution.
Hernandez will tell the board that placing these delinquent accounts on the county tax rolls will enforce collection of $25,480.09. He also will ask the board to approve judicial foreclosure on a number of delinquent accounts.
The board also is scheduled to award the Ebbetts Pass-Diablo View Zone Pump Station construction bid.
CCWD Assistant General Manager Alan Turner will review the Cherokee Creek Project with the board.
Turner will discuss the water-transfer-feasibility study from the Stanislaus River Basin to the Calaveras River Basin, bringing board members up to date on the project.
Turner also will discuss the student summer-work program, and will introduce the students from Bret Harte and Calaveras High schools who are working with CCWD this summer on both routine maintenance and long-standing technical projects.
