Calaveras Community Foundation announced Aug. 5 a $10,000 donation from Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel.
The Foundation credits Rancheria CEO Rich Hoffman and the Tribal Council of Jackson Rancheria for their continued support of more than $50,000 during the past six years.
With the assistance of donors like the Jackson Rancheria Casino and Hotel and others, CCF is able to provide grants to a wide variety of charitable groups, projects and scholarships serving Calaveras County residents. Since the establishment of CCF in 2000, more than $500,000 in grant and assistance checks have been issued by the Foundation.
“The Calaveras Community Foundation is very appreciative of the generous donation from our partners at Jackson Rancheria. I would especially like to thank CEO Rich Hoffman for his leadership and commitment to assist worthy causes within the reaches of the Jackson Rancheria,” CCF President Paul Stein stated in a news release. Stein also said that many Rancheria employees are making individual donations to CCF via payroll deductions during continuing difficult economic times. The donations are directed to CCF’s grant program.
The Calaveras Community Foundation is a nonprofit public charity. Individuals and businesses can establish funds or channel their charitable contributions through the foundation.
