The C & C Auto Body, at 18514 Striker Court, in Sonora won an award for outstanding achievement in customer service at the National Automotive Convention and Expo on Oct. 12 in Las Vegas.
The auto body was honored at a luncheon at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas where Manager Clay Carrillo received a plaque to recognize this accomplishment.
They were ranked in the top 4 percent of auto body shops in Stanislaus, San Joaquin, Merced, Calaveras and Tuolumne counties by Auto-Chex, an independent survey company.
C & C Auto Body is owned by Glenn Carrillo, who became interested in the auto body repair industry after working with his father-in-law in his home-based shop. He later opened C & C Auto Body in Questa Court where it remained for the last 18 years and grew from two employees to 15.
Carrillo’s son, Clay Carrillo, began training in the shop in 1998 and, after working as the lead paint technician for several years, became manager in 2007. That same year the business relocated to Striker Court.
According to the company’s Web site, it operates in nearly 12000 sq. ft. of repair space.
