The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce and the Valley Springs Area Business Association will have an after hours networking mixer at Umpqua Bank in Valley Springs from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Friday.
All area business people can come network, meet with other local business people and get the word out about their business.
The cost is $5, which includes local wines and appetizers.

The Diamondback Bar and Grill at Linoberg and South Washington streets in downtown Sonora is open for business after a small electrical fire cut power to it for half a day on Saturday.
The electrical panel outside on the Linoberg side of the building caught fire. There was no damage to the building’s interior.
All Save Mart foods stores are selling paper icons for $1 through July 31 to raise funds for children’s hospitals in Central and Northern California and northern Nevada.
Once purchased, the icons will be displayed in the stores.
Last year, Save Mart customers and employees donated more than $130,000 to children’s hospitals when they shopped.
