Sierra Survival will have a grand opening from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sept. 3 at 24272 Highway 108, Sugar Pine.
The store, which opened Aug. 11, carries numerous emergency and outdoor supplies, like sleeping bags, backpacks, cookware, clothing, freeze dried food and survival books.
Owned by Scott, Sidni, Jennifer and Jair Richards and Donovan Cupp, who previously owned the Long Barn Lodge, they have lived in Tuolumne County since 1975. They decided to open Sierra Survival because – living in uncertain times – they wanted to start a business focused on emergency readiness.
