Several homes and at least one business have been destroyed by falling trees as high winds continue to wreak havoc on the Mother Lode.
PG&E reported that wind damage has knocked out power to about 15,000 homes in the foothills, and emergency crews have responded to 17 calls related to fallen trees, downed power lines and grass fires in the past three hours.

Traffic lights on South Washington Street were not working at 10:30 a.m. and a railroad crossing next to Tuolumne General Hospital was broken due to wind damage.
There are 55 power lines reported down in Tuolumne County and 44 down in Calaveras County, according to the PG&E website.
